I've spoken briefly with Jacque Yuengtian, one of the co- founders of Happy Skin; I asked her why they chose Kathryn Bernardo as one of their celebrity makeup collaborators and she gleefully said that it's been one of their most awaited projects for two long years; finally, when Kath was available to do the collab, they sealed the deal right away. Happy Skin has always believed that Kathryn Bernardo is the perfect representative of Happy Skin for the younger generation because her fresh, simple, radiant beauty is everything that the brand stands for.
Jacque also shared a bit about the creative process of the collection: Kathryn was very hands- on with the selection of the products and made sure that the colors are suitable to everyone, most especially those with morena skin because she's a morena herself.
The partnership with Kathryn also gave birth to a line under Happy Skin called Generation Happy Skin; a sub- brand of Happy Skin, Generation Happy Skin is geared towards the younger market because of its trendy packaging and products, and lower price point, but still features the same skin care-makeup fusion that the brand has been known for.
