There are just a lot of brow product variants out there that sometimes, it confuses the user, especially the beginner. And did you ever wonder why sometimes, a highly raved brow product doesn't work for you? You're probably using a brow product that doesn't suit your brow type!

UNIVERSAL BROW PRODUCT: THE PENCIL
First, get to know the most versatile brow product: The good ol' brow pencil. Its controllable pigmentation and texture that's often in the middle of all brow product textures, it's easily the perfect choice for beginners and advanced makeup lovers alike. I have a lot of brow pencils because it's always the easy choice!

BROW TYPE: SPARSE
Sparse brows are characterized by barely there hair strands with lots of patchiness; in severe cases, there are almost no brow strands left.

Since there are not a lot of hair strands on sparse brow types, using more pigmented products can make the overall look fake. Brow products with light to medium pigmentation like liquid brow liners will add volume while creating natural hair- like strands.

BROW TYPE: PATCHY
Patchy brows are characterized by uneven volume and distribution of hair strands on the brow area. It's either thick edge-thin tail and thick tail-thin edge for people with this brow type.

ReplyDeleteWhen I'm browsing on social media, you're the first person that comes to my mind whenever I see/read the word brows. You are so lucky to be blessed with moderately thick brows. My left brow has bald spots and is shorter than the right but has thick hairs in the middle. For the longest time I thought that I have sparse brows. If not for this post, I wouldn't know that I belong to the patchy category. It's hard for me to use eyebrow powder alone because it doesn't have hairs to cling onto on the tail part of my left brow. When I use pencil alone, the thick parts becomes more visible compared to the other parts. Now I know which brow product will make them look even.Thank you, Ms. Martha!
ReplyDeleteMine is patchy! I spend an hour making it look fuller and even. I haven't own a pomade yet. I'm just using a brow powder with wax to achieve my desired brows. And currently using castor oil to thicken it :/
ReplyDeleteI have two doff. types of brows and this definitely helped me sort things out. Pomades usually work best for both types of mine. :)
