Capsule Review: Australis Eye Makeup Products

Australis Eye Spy eyeshadow palette, Stay Put Eyeliner, and Micro Brow Pencil review.

THE VERDICT:

Australis, an Aussie drugstore beauty brand has arrived in the Philippines through Rustans. It's high time for more and more Australian beauty brands to come to the Philippines because they have pretty good products, especially skin care!

I've received a full face set and I've sectioned them into face, lips, and eyes; we're starting with Australis' eye makeup and here are what I love so far.

Micro Brow Pencil features a super fine tip to create natural, hair- like coverage. It features three shades: Ash, Brown, and Dark Brown.

Eye Spy Eyeshadow Palette features five complementing eyeshadow powders in a handy, paper palette with magnetic closure. The palette comes in two color combinations: Nude and Smokey.

Meawhile, Stay Put Eyeliner is an automatic pencil liner that features a fine tip and long- lasting formula; it comes in two shades: Midnight (black) and Chocolate (brown).

Stay Put Eyeliner has a smooth texture and is quite pigmented; it needs about one to two minutes to fully set into a long- lasting finish.

Micro Brow Pencil has medium to heavy pigmentation; I like that the tip is precise enough to create better- looking brows, but I'm not that into very slim eyebrow pencils because they always have the tendency to snap.

Eye Spy eyeshadow palette is handy and I'm pleasantly surprised by the pigmentation; the palette features a combination of matte, satin, and shimmer finishes. It's a little bit chalky though.

Let's put these to the test:

Bare brow

With Micro Brow Pencil

The shade I have is Brown; it's a bit on the reddish side, but thankfully, it fits the current color of my hair right now.

The brow pencil needs to warmed up for a bit to get it going. As for the staying power, it indeed lasts the whole day, but not for extreme activities.

Here's me wearing the eyeshadow and eyeliner. 

The lighter shades of the eyeshadow palette are great, but I had a hard time with the darkest shade; not too much of an issue for me because I have a lot of good dark brown eyeshadows anyway, but it's an issue for those who don't own good dark brown shades or will only have this as their eyeshadow palette. 

Pigmentation of the eyeliner is medium to heavy, but it's not the intense kind in terms of look. Great enough for everyday and it didn't smudge too.

Australis' eye makeup products are generally good; among all the products, I like the brow pencil and eyeliner.
