Beyond the blinding lights, fun parties, and lavish gift giving, I do believe Christmas is beyond that: it's all about paying attention to the things that matter: family, friends, relationships, and kindness. Glad and Watsons are here to remind us of these things.
Recently, I saw a new video of Watsons for the holidays featuring guys who work as Santa during the holidays. 'Santa needs a break too' is the message of the video. What the video actually wanted to communicate was we should all take a while, especially in the holiday season, to make the hardworking people around us feel special even if they're strangers.
Your building's resident security guard, the industrious janitor, the jolly receptionist--they all deserve a little love from you this Christmas and I totally agree with the idea of making them feel special this Christmas; thanks to Watsons, I'm reminded again that these hardworking people are also part of the strong backbone of industries and they deserve as much respect and love as we would give our superiors.

ReplyDeleteTrue! This year I made an extra effort to give gifts to our utility men and women in the office, messengers, guards in our condo, errand man in community. It doesn't need to be expensive at all. I think the extra special treatment given will be much appreciated by them. :)
