THE VERDICT:
It seems like entrepreneurship is the next step for some celebrities like Kris Bernal. I agree with and support the idea because fame is a gift and must be utilized well; with their reach and influence, celebrities will not only inspire the youth to consider entrepreneurship, but they will create more jobs as well. Unemployment is a huge problem in the country and we need entrepreneurs more than ever.
Kris Bernal, apparently, is a huge lipstick lover so venturing into the cosmetics business was a no- brainer; SHE Cosmetics is the realization of her dream and according to reports, she wants to be the next Kylie Jenner!
SHE Cosmetics liquid lipstick is the brand's pilot product. So, is the product any good?

SHE Cosmetics liquid lipstick is apparently a new type of matte called Cushion Matte, personally developed by Kris Bernal. As a lover of lipstick, she's always been looking for a comfortable matte lipstick at an affordable price so she developed one instead.
Formula features Bulgarian Rose Oil and Peppermint to deliver a pleasing fragrance and plumping effect. The liquid lipstick line comes in five shades.
The product comes in a rose gold tube with a clear window on the tube so you can see the actual color of the product. The product is made in Korea, which explains why it has a K-Beauty feel. I like the packaging; it looks very posh for P399!
Consistency is like emulsion and is very pigmented; it starts off wet and gradually sets into a soft matte finish. It has a unique texture indeed; plush, flexible, and formula feels really like cushion at first. Kris indeed spent some time working on the formula. Formula is very easy to even out and doesn't look streaky and dry, and doesn't feel dry and taut.

Classic neutral red.
The lipsticks have decent staying power; they stay on, but need to be retouched after eating because the emulsion formula doesn't allow it to cling unlike other matte liquid lipstick formulas; not a problem for me though.
The formula itself is non- drying, but can highlight dry areas so exfoliate prior usage.
Overall, I think the lipsticks have nice shades and a nice formula, and kudos to Kris for adding value by introducing a unique lipstick formula. SHE Cosmetics is showing a lot of promise and I'm excited for what's next.

ReplyDeleteNakaka-intriga naman yang "Cushion Matte" na type of lippie.. And because of that, ita-try ko sila!.. :-D The colors look so good on you Ms. M! Okay lang na hindi ganun katagal yung staying power nila coz i think those lippies which cling to our lips and is difficult to remove are more drying.

ReplyDeleteLove ko yung So SHE-ic it is so far a unique shade for me.,and base po sa nakita ko sa swatches nyo hindi xa ganun ka matte na matte,ok sakin yung tipong need magretouched after kumain or magdrink.,gusto ko din kasi yung may moisture sa lips yung lipstick at magaan lang kapag inapply sa lips.
