A lot of beauty gurus have been claiming that Maybelline Fit Me is a dupe of Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, which is one of my HG concealers. We'll see about that in this edition of Beauty Battles!
THE LOWDOWN
Maybelline Fit Me is a full complexion range that features a liquid foundation, powder, stick foundation, and concealer; it is apparently one of the best-selling foundation ranges in the US. Fit Me Concealer is a moisturizing, medium to heavy coverage concealer. My shade is Medium 25.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is one of the brand's famous concealers; it's a medium to full coverage concealer with a creamy, nourishing formula, and long- lasting properties. My shade is Ginger.

PRICE:
Nars is P1,650.00 and Maybelline is about P200. Clearly, we know who the winner is!

PACKAGING:
Both come in slim tubes with a doe foot applicator. Maybelline's applicator is smaller than the usual, making it more efficient in reaching hard to reach corners of the face while creating a sharp underline to define eyeshadow looks better. However, it picks up too much product. Nars' does foot applicator is moderately- sized, perfect for any shape and picks up just the right amount of product, but may be too big for some eye shapes.

Both are very moisturizing, but when it comes to coverage, Nars trumps Maybelline any day. Nars' coverage is smooth, flawless, and gives the under eyes a fresher, more lifted look while Maybelline has okay coverage, but not that superior smoothing properties; the latter is great if you don't have big issues with your under eyes and just want a light concealer for a brighter look.

STAYING POWER
Nars can withstand even a rigorous workout like Crossfit and doesn't cake, settle into fine lines, nor streak even on a hot summer day. Maybelline stays on, but fades a little, especially if you sweat around the eyes.

To summarize, Maybelline Fit Me, to me, is not a dupe of Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer; the latter is legendary; I've tried so many concealers that when someone says that one is very good, I always have my reservations, but Nars' famous concealer truly is something. I'm trying my best to not use it everyday because one downside of the product is there isn't a lot of product in the tube, it seems. But I'm willing to buy it again! This is not to say though that Maybelline's concealer is bad; it's good enough if you just want an affordable daily concealer, but if you want a high performance one that literally beautifies the under eyes, go for Nars!

Nars maganda talaga sya kaya lang hindi naman lahat makakabili sa price nya. mabili ang maybelline kasi affordable sulit na rin lalo na sa mga mommies na katulad ko. mas uunahin ko pa ba ang make up kesa sa pangangailangan ng kids ko. hehehehe i'll choose parin maybelline

ReplyDeleteWow, I love these reviews, comparing one brand to the other. You're paying for quality that's why NARS is a bit pricey compared to Maybelline. I think it all comes down to budget. How much can you afford? If you have the money, go for NARS, but if you don't , opt for Maybelline. Once again, thank you for this review. I learn a lot about makeup because of you Ms M
