THE VERDICT:

I used to love wearing the winged eye liner look; I was actually good at it at one point, but for a long time now, I've been sporting the regular curve (that's probably my age now choosing my makeup choices for me). I tried wearing the winged eye liner look lately, but my eyeliner ninja skills need some practicing, plus the skin around my eyes aren't as firm as before, therefore eyeliner applicators don't glide as smoothly as before and I'd need to pull my skin taut to ensure that I'll draw a straight line. It seems like no matter your age, winged eye liner will always be a challenge!

I discovered through a friend of mine lately Maybelline Hyper Tight Liner; it's her favorite eyeliner and she swears by how easy it is to create a winged line with its special design. She got me one when she bought hers. After using it once, I have experienced why my friend loves this so much; it takes out the guesswork from winged eye liner application; this product truly gives you #eyelineronfleek!

I got the shade black; not totally sure if there are other shades available.

This is the magic tip; you're supposed to place the product pointing towards your eye for tightlining purposes, but I love using it for creating the winged eye liner pattern. As you can see, the angle of the tip resembles a flick if it's positioned sideways; that's already the ideal flick right there!

The applicator is felt material so the product is doused in ink; to create the base of the winged eye, press the side of the applicator against your skin and gently swipe upwards. That's it! Now that wasn't so hard, wasn't it? :)

Proceed to creating the rest of your line and fill in the gaps. You can go as thin or as thick as you want!

The hardest part to create in a winged eyeliner look is always the flick; to me, this determines the shape, thickness, angle, and overall look of the winged eye. If you get this right, you'll get the rest correctly and this eyeliner definitely helps you achieve that!

I've got uneven lids and 70% of the time, I don't get my winged eye liner evenly; my chances were increased when this eyeliner came to my life!

Staying power is great, of course; Maybelline's liquid eyeliners are very long- lasting. As for the pigmentation though, it's not as intense as I'd like it to be so I have to layer it on for a couple of times to achieve my desired pigmentation. At least formula doesn't sting my eyes so that's another plus!

This is a great eyeliner and the solution to your cat eye or winged eye liner problems; 'nuff said. I highly recommend!
