THE VERDICT:

I'll be in Coron for a week for that much needed R&R so apologies, again, if there will be a lack of posts on the blog, but I did schedule a couple of posts for the entire week already; now I gotta write the words in my head while on the plane so all I have to do is just transfer them to the laptop when I land in Palawan; pray that I don't fall asleep on the way LOL.

Today, let me talk about Revlon's new lip tints; lip tints are the craze lately; it seems like every brand must come out with one and this is Revlon's version: Kiss Cushion Lip Tint; these superbly hydrating lip tints have customizable pigmentation and they're like a drink for your lips!

Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint is a cushion lip tint that promises a hint of stain and lots of moisture; locally, there are 8 shades available.

This product is the marriage of two trendy beauty products: a tint and a cushion. To dispense the product, simply twist the second bigger circular portion of the tube where the brand logo is etched; I feel that I have to mention this because I've read in some reviews that this was a bit of a puzzle for first- time users so, there.

The cushion applicator feels nice on the lips; it also evens out the product properly and lets you achieve an ombre lip look easily as well; however, don't swipe and press too hard because you will just end up erasing whatever you try to put on your lips.

P.S. You might think that the tube is broken because it's not spewing any product even after a couple of twists; it's not. Just keep on twisting, about 10- 12 times per tube (yes I counted). If you still don't get any after that, wait it out because there's a bit of delay before the product comes out. If nothing comes out after my recommended number of twists and despite waiting it out, maybe the tube is broken; have it replaced immediately.

Anyway, Revlon said that the product delivers a hint of stain; I find that it's very pigmented and the moist, liquid balm texture can be layered to intensify pigmentation. It's crazy hydrating; it feels like I have a pouch of water on my lips whenever I have it on; that said, it can be a bit runny so allow a couple of minutes to let it dry before pressing or rubbing your lips together.

Pretty Kiss

A pale shimmery beige. Too pale for me; this will look better either on fair skin or deep skin tones.

PINK IRL

Milky pink shade. Great for fair to medium skin tones.

NAUGHTY MAUVE

A warm rosy mauve. This is the MLBB shade for me from this line.

HIGH END CORAL

Dirty coral. Surprisingly, I thought this will look bright on my skin; it looked warmer and more office- friendly. I like it!

CRIMSON FEELS

Tropical true red. Always a classic!

EXTRA VIOLET

Deep violet shade. Perfect for night outs!

WINE TRIP

 Deep berry wine. Great for night outs and for warm skin. It's a pretty shade!

CHOCOLATE POP

Warm chocolate brown. To be honest, I was a bit weirded out with a brown lip tint. I'm happy to know it turned out pretty after all!

Kiss Cushion is very moisturizing and the moisture lasts the whole day; the tint has okay staying power and needs to be retouched after a meal. The moisturizing effect lasts the whole day and keeps my lips nourished so at least there's one benefit that stays with me. Since it has a moisturizing, watery texture, it has the tendency to bleed around the lips so wear with lip liner or allow one layer to dry up before putting a new one.

TBJ TIP: For the tint to stay longer, allow each layer to completely dry up before applying a new layer, pressing your lips together, or eating/drinking.

Revlon Kiss Cushion is a nice summer lip product because it's lightweight, moisturizing, and gives your lips a cute, fresh color finish that's perfect for summer; this is perfect for those with very dry lips and who love lip balm/lip color hybrids. My favorites are Naughty Mauve, Wine Trip, Crimson Feels, and High End Coral. Whattaboutyou?
