THE VERDICT:

One of my favorite brow product formats is the good ol' brow powder; it's easy, doesn't drag as much as pencil, convenient, and versatile enough to be used to map, fill, and define brows. However, since pigmentation is the name of the game for brands nowadays, most brow powders are too pigmented that it scares off beginners. I've pretty much perfected my brow game already, but there are days when my game is just off and pigmented brow powders become a challenge; I wished there was a brow powder that is universal for all brow skill levels, whether you're a beginner or pro.

And I found it in Benefit Foolproof Brow Powder!

Benefit Foolproof Brow Powder is a powder duo with complementing light and dark shades that create an ombre look and expertly- shaded brows in an instant; it promises to last for p to 12 hours; if I'm not mistaken, this comes in about 5 shades.

The compact is slim, but a bit sizable compared to brow duos of other brands; well at least packaging is cute.

Inside the compact is a mirror and a charming pan shaped like a brow that houses the brow powders. It also features a dual- ended applicator that has a sponge blender and spoolie that tucks inside the barrel. Product weight is 2 grams; I think the amount is too little considering the price and while the brow shaped- pan is cute, it compromised a good amount of product volume.

3 is the most universal shade; it fits a variety of skin tones because of the taupe undertone.

The powder is smooth, easy to blend, and has a semi- dry texture, which I think controls the payoff on the brows. The powder adheres on the skin and the 'thin' texture prevents it from looking cakey and clumpy. You can either have a light or heavy hand, beginner or expert skills and the powder's formula will suit you; I had a hard time removing the powder swatch, which gave me the immediate impression that it's indeed long- lasting.

Also, don't be deceived by the swatch; some of you may think that it's too sheer, until you've finally applied it on the brows; this powder actually has good coverage.

What I like about the concept of this product is it's a no-brainer way to define my brows: I just apply the powders as suggested and voila! I'm out the door. Regarding staying power, it did not fade when I wore it for about 10 hours; I had a meeting, attended an event, and hung out in a coffee shop to work some more and when I looked at my brows at the end of the day, it was still there and take note, no retouch!

True to its name, this product is indeed foolproof because of the nice formula that caters to different skills and the fact that it lasts quite long; it's one of the longest lasting brow powders I've used, making it perfect for combination and very oily skin types, or basically anyone who hates retouching.
