THE VERDICT:

I've always been fascinated by space; the life beyond our clouds, atmosphere, and the infinite black galaxy; They say there are thousands of galaxies and planets outside our own and I wonder, could there be a place where a planet filled with cosmetics exist? Hey, it's all possible in space so there might be and I wanna live there LOL.

When I learned that Moonshot Cosmetics is inspired by the moon and space, I was ecstatic; I imagined that the packaging would be cool and it is! I have a couple of Moonshot's best- selling product that I'll review for everyone today.

Moonshot Cosmetics is a Korean beauty brand known for Microfit Setting Cushion and Cream Paint; it has a pretty small makeup range compared to other brands, and is quite on the pricey side; it's perhaps one of Korea's entry premium beauty brands along with brands such as Laneige and Clio.

Moonshot Micro Setting Fit Cushion is a medium to full coverage cushion with SPF, anti- aging, and brightening properties. It comes in two shades: 101 and 201. This is one of Moonshot's best- seller and it's sold out in Freyja as well.

The compact has an adorable duochrome glitter design on the outside, which projects a rainbow- like pattern. The sponge is a soft, bouncy, odor- free, and I like the tapered edge; it allows me to reach the corners of my face and apply product on these areas much more efficiently.

Moonshot Multi-Protection UV Fixer SPF 50 pa++++ isa a multi-benefit moisturizer, spf, and primer.

Moonshot Cream Paint is arguably their best- selling product; I've received many review requests for this product.

Cream Paint is a multi- purpose color that can be applied on the lips and cheeks; it comes in 8 shades locally. It is infused with Chamomile and Cherry Blossom extracts.

The cushion's shade is just way too light for me; there are only two shades available. 201, which is the darkest, is about 2 to 3 times lighter than my skin tone. It's pigmented and yields medium to full coverage, but despite the buildable formula, it feels lightweight on the skin.

The primer has a light peach hue, which makes it good for evening out the skin tone and minimizing the appearance of dark spots. This one has a very light, pleasing floral scent. Consistency is a light liquid cream with a semi- matte finish; the formula starts off feeling like a moisturizer and as you blend and set, it begins to mattify. I like the feel and quality of this product because it really makes me think that I'm using a multi- benefit product.

The paint has a soft mousse texture, making it great for application on the lids and cheeks. I like how easy it is to spread and the soft focus, buildable finish makes it good for layering; it sets quickly too.

With one layer of the primer

The primer has instantly made my face looking more moisturized and brighter, and quite frankly, the it has minimized the appearance of dark spots. Promising! As for the staying power, it keeps makeup intact for about 4 hours before oil starts to seep; formula is great for dry skin as well.

With one layer of the cusion

As you can see, it's too white for my skin; it's like MAC's NC20. The formula is easy to work with: it's easy to spread and sets immediately into a dewy matte finish and has this nice light floral scent.

I really like the feel of the cushion on the face, plus the good, natural finish of the compact, but alas, the shade range is too, too limited!

TBJ TIP: You may have noticed that there are some areas on my face that are patchy. It is because I have used a flat top kabuki to apply the product instead of the sponge (I can't bear to touch the sponge ack!). I have come to realize that cushions are really built to be applied by a sponge because of its sheer consistency.

Wearing Cream Paint in Pale leaves

Pale Leaves is a muted light peach; I initially thought that it was too pale for my skin, but it ended up looking fine; it's not as pale as I thought it would be.

The product blends nicely, especially on the lids and it's the type that you can apply on top of powder because it has a powdery texture that works well with it. Staying power is very good; I took it to a test today by wearing it under scorching heat without setting it and it did not budge hooray!

Moonshot is actually a good brand, I realized, plus it's makeup boosted with skin care. A bit on the pricey side, but good over all;  I recommend Cream Paint and the primer!

Have you tried Moonshot already? What are your thoughts?
