THE VERDICT:

Social media's new darling and Filipina style icon, Heart Evangelista, is the new endorser of L'Oreal, and unlike other endorsements where celebrities just lend their pretty faces and vouch for the brand, Heart and L'Oreal took it up a notch and kicked off the partnership with a lipstick collab; L'Oreal X Love Marie Color Riche Matte Lipstick is here and it features five shades personally chosen by Heart herself.

L'Oreal X Love Marie Color Riche Matte lipstick features 5 creamy matte shades that Heart thinks are the must- have lipstick shades that every lady should have.

Aside from the personally curated shades, Heart also designed the packaging of the limited edition product; she said in her interviews that she specifically created the artwork just for this collection, making it a collector's piece. I love the effort they have exerted to create this collection; it's something truly special for the fans of Heart and L'Oreal, plus the lipsticks look very classy and it highlighted Heart's talent for painting.

Color Riche Matte's texture is a soft, creamy lipstick with a semi- matte finish and lots of pigmentation; it smells a bit like Magnolia flowers too. It has okay staying power, but needs to be retouched after meal; on the bright side, these are non-drying.

1. BRICK PLANET

- Spiced nude beige. My most favorite shade from the collection!

2. PURE ROUGE

- Your good ol' classic red lipstick; this is a true red with neutral undertones, making it perfect for anyone who wants to sport that classic red lip.

3. ROUGE-A-PORTER

- Warm pinky coral. A pretty, casual everyday lipstick that gives you that right pop of summery color on the lips.

4. HINTED BLUSH

- A light mauve plum; it gives great contrast to morena and warm skin; it's office- friendly as well.

5. SPRING ROSETTE

- A cool semi- pastel pink with flecks of gold glimmer; it's great both for day and night due to the duochrome, shimmer effect; a little too pastel for my liking, but I bet this will fare better on fair skin.

The collection features 5 shades only. I like this collection because the packaging is gorgeous and the shade are specially designed; makes you feel that you're acquiring something worthwhile; the lipsticks have good quality as well and overall, the shades offer a good variety of color choices for everyday wear.
