THE VERDICT:

I've been using Pixi for three weeks now and I'm currently raving about this skin care brand. Although not my first time to use it, this is the first time I've used a majority of Pixi products for my current skin care routine and I'm in love! I'm currently using Glow Tonic range (which made a huge difference in my acne problem). More about that soon, but now, let me muse about the other Pixi products that I'm using at the moment: Pixi Caviar Essence and Rose Glow Mist. These super hydrating products infuse my skin with the goodness of rose and have been giving me glowing, hydrated skin!

Pixi Rose Caviar Essence is a gel serum- essence made with encapsulated beauty oils that hydrate and seal nutrients in the skin. Contains Mulberry, Rose, Grapseed, and Anise extracts.

Rose Caviar Essence ingredients

This product is a serum in gel form; consistency is watery gel, but it has a moisturizing, semi- emollient feel due to the encapsulated oils; it's like fresh oil, if you know what I mean. This product also doubles as a moisturizer.

The red particles are the encapsulated oils that burst on the skin upon application; encapsulation is a process used by skin care manufacturers for product stability of the actives, and for a controlled, targeted delivery of the actives to the skin. The formula features a great concoction of beneficial oils such as Macadamia, Bergamot, Sunflower, Jojoba, Olive, Rose, and Grape seed oils. The serum is lightly fragranced with Rose.

I like the squeeze tube packaging; it makes it travel- friendly, lightweight, and easy to lug around, especially during traveling. The product doesn't drip off the tube as well.

HOW TO USE: Treat as serum. Apply after toning and before day moisturizer or night cream. You can use it as a multitasking moisturizer during daytime as well because the encapsulated actives will act as serum and the gel base will act as moisturizer.

Rose Glow Mist is the newest addition to Pixi's best- selling facial mists. This mist contains 7 flower oils namely Moringa, Safflower, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, Geranium, Cymbopogon Martini Grass oils. There's also Argan, Olive, and Avocado oils for extra moisture.

This tube delivers a fine, wide mist that covers my entire face in one go; it has a fragrant rose scent and feels a bit more moisturizing than the other Pixi mists that's why I don't go overboard because it has a lot of oil extracts that may make my makeup feel damp; around 1-2 sprays and I'm good to go.

I have been using these two together with Pixi's Glow Tonic range for the last two weeks and my skin's never been better and finally gaining back its old self. I decided to incorporate these Rose- infused products together with Pixi's Rose Tonic to counteract the stinging sensation and possible dryness that may arise from acid usage; because Rose is a great hydrating and soothing ingredient.

I love both products because they provide superior hydration and moisture, which complemented Pixi's Glow Tonic range and gave me bouncy, glowing, well- hydrated skin. I also think that the consistency of Rose Caviar Essence is innovative: it's versatile enough to be used as a serum or moisturizer, and day and night, plus a fun way to introduce serums to the uninitiated. Rose Glow Mist smells really good and the moisturizing formula makes it cost- effective as well. I highly recommend both for all skin types!
