THE VERDICT:
Aside from going back to using makeup sponge, I'm also back to using powder puffs for setting makeup. Blame it on baking--I've been using powder puffs now more than my brushes to set liquid foundation. Baking totally works for me!
I'm also glad that the good ol' powder puff has been improved over the years by brands like Beauty Blender. Aside from their famous makeup sponges, one product of theirs that I think every foundation and loose powder lover should have in their makeup kit is Beauty Blender Power Pocket Puff, a double- sided puff for custom powder application!
Beauty Blender Power Pocket Puff is a dual- sided powder puff with a flocked side for baking and concentrated powder application and a rubbery, thin side for blotting and touch- ups. It's a makeup artist power tool and a useful addition to everyday makeup routines too.
The puff is ergonomically shaped into Beauty Blender sponge's iconic shape; wider bottom is for applying powder on the larger areas of the face while the tapered tip is for applying powder on the corners such as the under eyes and jawline.
The flocked side is soft and smooth, has the right amount of fluffiness; it has the material and quality of classic powder puffs that we always see in baby talcum powders, which I think is great for makeup use because it deposits the right amount of powder on the skin.
Here's the rubbery side; it doesn't reek of a rubbery odor at all. It's ideal for blotting makeup or retouching powder. It can also be used to apply powder foundation, especially on the inner corners of the face.
If you noticed as well, there is a band laying across this side of the sponge; it's for makeup artists so that the pocket puff can serve as protection between their hands and the client's makeup and skin while doing makeup.
To use, just insert two fingers in between the two sponges. The inside is lined with silk for comfort and to prevent premature wrinkling on the fingers. So nice of the brand to think about this!
I love using the flocked side because it precisely drives powder exactly where it should go whenever I'm baking makeup. The rubbery side, I rarely use because the powder foundations I have have their own sponges anyway, but I can see how it can come handy especially when traveling.
Regarding cleaning, I rinse this product with regular liquid cleanser and water. Drying time takes a while though because of the flocked side.
Overall, I love this stuff. One of the best powder puffs I've used and one of the best from Beauty Blender; 10/10 would recommend!

Cuteness overload for this new beauty blender power pocket puff, aside from the colour that is astonished, I love the idea of this new beauty sponge...it looks that you can put make up effortless and good for travelling too.
ReplyDeleteay iba, kaso parang ang nipis and hhmm for me dahan2 lng dapat ang pglagay kasi prang matatanggal sa kamay mo, pero cute and bagay yan sa mga papulbo pulbo lng sa school.
