THE VERDICT:

The Internet has come up with so many ways to thoroughly clean a Beauty Blender; some were effective while some were a complete disaster; I had a friend who tried the microwave technique and ended up with a deformed Beauty Blender forever.

Because of this, Beauty Blender came up with a way to clean their famous sponge properly and thoroughly along with other sponges and makeup brushes too; enter Beauty Blender Solid Blender Cleanser, which is the best way to clean Beauty Blender and any makeup sponge too!

Ingredients

Beauty Blender Solid Blender Cleanser is a cleansing bar soap for sponges and makeup brushes. It is made with Coconut Acid as a mild surfactant and Palm Oils to effectively lift makeup residue from sponges and brushes. It is virtually unscented and is Paraben- free, cruelty- free, vegan, sulfate- free, and Pthalate- free.

The product is TSA- friendly because it's one, compact cleansing tool in one slim tub. It comes equipped with a silicone sponge for scrubbing brushes and sponges, and doubles as a drying pad for sponges or the soap itself.

To use this product, I run the soap under water, wet the sponge and rub it on top of the soap, and then I rub the body of the sponge against the silicone pad to remove external stains. The soap gets a little soft when wet so I place the silicone pad after usage right beneath it in the tub to drain out excess water and to prevent the soap from turning soggy and soft. I also rinse the soap clean before storage and air dry before sealing.

After about 3 minutes, here's what my Beauty Blender finally looks like:

Voila! Clean and like new!

I also don't remember the bottom portion of my Beauty Blender being this clean after rinsing until Beauty Blender Solid Blender Cleanser.

The soap has low- foaming properties and rinses out very easily too. However, I just don't like the fact that it makes use of Palm Oil because this oil has very unethical and questionable ways of obtaining so I hope they will replace it with something more sustainable and has low environmental impact.

I think this soap will last me for 3 months or more at twice a month usage or exactly three months with everyday usage for makeup sponge cleansing.

I highly recommend this product to makeup sponge users! It's the best way to clean any sponge, especially Beauty Blender!
