THE VERDICT:

One of my goals this year is to discover new and promising liquid lipstick brands, both local and foreign. Liquid Lipstick is actually one of the easiest to make and formulate that's why a lot of brands would always come up with it either as a way to launch a brand or to refresh brand interest so I think there are just way too many lipstick products out there waiting to be discovered.

One of my cool discoveries is Macynn Dream Lips Liquid Lipstick, a highly pigmented liquid lipstick with a comfy matte feel and intense staying power!

Macynn Dream Lips Liquid Lipstick is one of the first flagship products of up and coming local luxury makeup brand, MACYNN Cosmetics. Promises an easier glide with its pigmented, creamy formula and all- day coverage with kiss- proof, long- lasting wear.

Originally, it came in 6 shades; more have been added recently and current total is now 9 shades; these are the first shades of the first batch; sadly, Rendezvous has been discontinued as I don't see it in the website anymore; it's a beautiful shade and I hope they bring it back.

Formula is a rich, liquid lipstick with a cream- like feel. Pigmentation is great; one swipe and I get intense color coverage. Also, the formula sets pretty quickly; not great if you don't know how to apply lipstick well and evenly, and also great if you want something that sets easily so you can layer on right away.

Check out the shades:

1. RENDEZVOUS

- Soft brown with a neutral undertone. This is a great everyday lipstick for morenas and I love how it warms up the skin too.

2. ROAD TRIP

- Muted brick pink. Perfect MLBB lipstick and a universally flattering soft pink as well.

3. EUPHORIA

- Midtone Purple. Reminds me of MAC's Heroine lipstick.

4. STILETTO

- Blue- based midtone red. Good dupe for MAC Russian Red!

5. DATE NIGHT

- Ruby red with a blue undertone. Good dupe for MAC Ruby Woo! But I noticed that this particular lipstick, consistency ended up feeling like mousse more than liquid; perhaps it's due to the kind of pigments used?

6. SO ME

- Nude pink. A beautiful soft pink that will be a great choice for weddings.

Staying power is amazing! I can eat and drink with Dream Lips on and it won't budge; there would be little fading at the center of my lower lip, but it's pretty insignificant that I can pose for a quick, post- dinner photo without retouching. Also, the lipsticks don't feel heavy at all. Most importantly, it did not dry out my lips! Removal will require an oil- based or dual phase makeup remover to shake up the pigments because as I said, this has incredible staying power.

I highly recommend the shades So Me, Stiletto, and Road Trip!
