THE VERDICT:

When I attended Innisfree's Festival Mall launch, I went around looking for a makeup remover and found this: Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Oil. I wasn't so sure about this, but went for it anyway because it's the most affordable cleansing oil in Innisfree's makeup remover line- up; I figured it would be a great way to ease my way into their makeup remover products.

Short of the long is...I LIKE IT! Reminds me so much of the famous DHC Cleansing Oil and I think this is amazing for dry skin!

Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Oil is a rich, moisturizing oil makeup remover made with moisturizing Olive Oil. The olive oil extract is sourced from Crete, which is apparently the best location for growing Olives due to the environment; Crete is also known for 'Golden Olives' or the highest quality Olives.

DHC Cleansing Oil is of cult status, especially among Japanese women. A lot love it for its moisturizing properties; I found it okay and a bit thick, but it's something that did not bother me that much anyway because I rinse it off right away.

DHC is a bit expensive and I'm happy to report that I found a dupe in this product.

Innisfree's cleansing oil is rich and very emollient; it has a citrus scent versus DHC's plain oil odor. It's pleasing to the senses and not cloying in any way.

The product emulsifies when mixed with water, which gives the product a facial cleanser effect, but I still wash my face with a regular cleansing foam for good measure.

I do not need a lot of pumps to remove all my makeup, from my base to waterproof eye makeup; however, I won't use it again to remove eye makeup because it somewhat stings.

The oil, given its thickness, removes every trace of makeup effectively; I just use three pumps to remove everything from my face! I like that it moisturizes my skin and doesn't leave it dry after usage.

I read some people, especially those with dry skin, saying that oil cleansing somewhat leaves their skin dry; it's in the kind of oil used as well as the ingredient of the cleansing oil so if you have this experience and skin type, I highly recommend this moisturizing cleansing oil. Will surely repurchase!
