THE VERDICT:

Thayers is one of the products that have been around, but all of a sudden, skyrocketed to popularity. Just this year, Thayers has ruled (and is consistently ruling) the top spots of Amazon as one of the best toners under $10, thanks to influencers and beauty gurus who have been singing nothing but praises for this product.

If there's one proof that Influencer marketing works, then this is it. Well, as long as you get the right ones!

Anyway, I finally decided to give this product a try because a lot of the Beshies at THE BEAUTY JUNKEES UNITE have been raving about this toner too. When I passed by my local Healthy Options, I picked up the smallest one for trial, particularly in the Rose Petal variant.

So is Thayers Witch Hazel Toner as good as the claims and 5- star ratings?

Thayers is an age- old skin care company specializing in witch hazel toners, balms, body bars, deodorants, and other body remedies. The American company seems to remain family- run and prides themselves on sustainable, cruelty- free (with the exception of Beeswax usage), highest quality, natural ingredients, biodegradable, recyclable packaging, and transparent, honest, respectful business operations.

Thayers Witch Hazel Toner Rose Petal Ingredients

Thayers Witch Hazel Toners come in about three sizes; I got the trial size at 89ml. There are a couple of variants as well namely: Rose Petal, Cucumber, Unscented, Coconut Water, and Original; the toners are all alcohol- free, made with natural ingredients, and boosted with Aloe Vera extract for extra hydration.

I went for Witch Hazel with Rose Petal because I like Rosewater in my skin care; it's hydrating, soothing, smells divine, and overall, it works for my skin.

I've tried this toner for a week: it's gentle and very refreshing, plus keeps my skin fresh, matte, and feeling really clean without the sting of alcohol; I think the main reason why this product is very popular is because it's effective in cleansing the skin despite being alcohol- free.

It's a basic toner; no breakout whatsoever and does what a toner does; plus points that it doesn't have drying alcohol to remove deep- seated dirt and oil from the skin. But I did not notice anything groundbreaking or at least slightly different on my skin after a week of usage. It's just an everyday toner that cleans the skin further.

Overall, Thayers is a good product, but nothing that I'm bawling over or praising the heavens for; it works just fine plus it's cool that there's an added benefit which is Witch Hazel, a good ingredient for oily, acne- prone skin; this might help manage breakouts.

Thayers Witch Hazel toner is a universal toner for normal, oily, and dry skin types because of the gentle formulation and go for it if you're looking for something that is alcohol- free, but can clean the skin well. If Thayers is not accessible to you or you find it pretty expensive, a good alternative I can suggest is Celeteque Hydration Toner.

Have you tried this toner already? What are your thoughts?

  4. I was also thinking of celeteque toner while going through your post. For the witch hazel toner I find beauty bakery witch hazel mist enough for me.
