THE VERDICT:

A couple of industry insiders and I hung out one time and we talked about the future of the beauty industry in the Philippines. One prediction was K-Beauty will finally hit its peak and will either slide or just stay somewhere in the middle of the sea of brands.

That may be a long time from now as it's hard to imagine K-Beauty losing its popularity because more brands will come in next year and everyone online is still all over it. But if that time will come, one K-Beauty product that I think I'll keep are sheet masks; it's travel- friendly, economical, and potentially environmental- friendly since it's serum, moisturizer, and even essence in one, ergo you don't have to buy the latter products individually.

One of my favorite K-Beauty sheet mask brands for the last few months now is Esfolio because it's super affordable yet the variants are impressively big--for the price! Esfolio's masks are good too!

Esfolio Pure Skin Sheet Masks have about 13 variants:

1. Red Ginseng- Panax Ginseng energizes, provides essential vitamins, and adjust oil-moisture balance on the skin.

2. Green Tea- Camellia Sinensis provides antioxidant, reparative, and anti- aging benefits.

3. Snail- Snail Secretion Filtrate calms, smooths, and moisturizes skin.

4. Milk- Milk Protein essence deeply moisturizes skin, revitalizes, and boosts skin's resilience

5. Collagen- Pig collagen gives a bouncy texture, hydrates, and improves collagen level in the skin.

6. Egg- Egg yolk extract tightens and firms the skin, and boosts elasticity.

7. Pearl- Pearl extract detoxifies, nourishes, conditions, and has brightening benefits.

8. Aloe- Aloe Vera extract moisturizes, soothes, rejuvenates, and calms troubled skin.

9. Rose- Rose Flower Water extract soothes, hydrates, and great for sensitive skin.

10. Charcoal- charcoal extract detoxifies, removes excess oil, and purifies skin.

11. Herb- features 6 botanical extracts that soothe, hydrate, and calm the skin.

12. Honey- Honey extract smooths and clarifies the skin.

Me wearing Charcoal, one of my favorites. I love using this when my skin is breaking out or I have a freshly- popped zit because I feel that it's helping my skin heal better.

The mask is saturated in product. It's very moisturizing, has a light fragrance, and it can stay on for more than 10 minutes and still feel saturated and moisturizing. Oh, don't mind the green stuff under the mask; those are separate under eye masks. :D

After using this for months, my skin's moisture level has improved and I noticed that it was more plump, healthier- looking, and incredibly smoother; it's actually one of the sheet masks that had noticeable effects on me. My only issue is the sheet mask is a bit small for my face.

There are other Esfolio variants that are more expensive than this one, but for starters and budget- savvy individuals, this is an equally good choice.
