I love the holidays. I always look forward to it because of the overall festive, jolly feel that lingers in the air when it's time and it's a time when I reunite with my friends and family.

This also means lots of eating; I mean LOTS.OF.EATING. It's always easy to gain an additional 5 or 10 pounds during the holidays!

But I have an offsetting lifestyle technique that I do just before all the holiday bingeing peaks that prevents too much weight gain: STRICT EATING. I'll share more of that below plus my chosen partner for this year's journey, Fit Food Manila.

Strict eating is short term dieting that I do right before the holidays; I usually do this 1 to 3 months before December, depending on where I am, weight wise.

For this technique, I just eat healthier foods, lower calorie meats (chicken or fish > beef and pork), and as much as possible, zero dessert.

Of course it's hard to execute this diet as perfectly as possible especially for busy women like me who has no time to prepare food and find eating healthy in restaurants to be a bit over the top, price wise. This is where Fit Food Manila comes in; Fit Food Manila ensures that I am on track on this journey and helps me offset a few calories right before the holidays while being easy on the pocket.

But what is Fit Food Manila?

Fit Food Manila is one of the most popular food preparation and delivery services in Manila. For a minimum of P370 a day, you can get tasty, healthy, freshly- cooked, calorie- counted meals to keep your tummy full and heart satisfied.

Fit Food Manila has 4 types of menu:

FIT FOOD: The classic. Minimum 1,200 calories a day. Can be customized depending on required or preferred daily calorie intake.

FIT FOOD KETO: for keto dieters.

FIT FOOD PLUS: Low sugar, low carb, high protein, and high fiber meals.

FIT FOOD HEART: Low fat, low sodium and low cholesterol meals.

How does this work?

First, go to their OFFICIAL WEBSITE to purchase your meals. You can do weekly or monthly.

Choose a menu. If you want your calories and food customized, talk to them about it. The price will go up or stay the same depending on your customization.

Finally, check out.

Wait for your food to arrive and enjoy!

The food arrives the night before. It was a problem for me at first since I'm out of the house everyday and come home late at night, and the delivery guy comes around night time. Good thing I was able to ask the guards of our building to receive the food on my behalf. I can see how this can be a problem for those who are living alone, specifically in quarters with no reception.

As for my menu, I got Fit Food at 1,500 calories per day. Check out this 1 week sample menu:

What I like about Fit Food Manila is they deliver the night before; I hate disrupting my sleep just to receive a package. Second, their sauces are amazing, specifically the peanut sauce. Finally, I love the variety; I'm on my 3rd week now with them and I don't recall them repeating food or a menu.

What Fit Food Manila can improve on are the following: 1. Include more fruit in the daily menus. 2. Some of the snacks, especially the sweet ones, can be pretty bland that I think it's better off that I got a savory snack. A little adjustment on the sweetness can be done without necessarily blowing up trace calories.

That's it for my review! Overall, I like Fit Food Manila because of the delivery system, very wide variety, and tasty meals. I don't mind signing up with them again before summer season and the cutting begins!

Have you tried Fit Food Manila already? What are your thoughts?
