THE VERDICT:

Just before the year ends, Pink Sugar quietly drops two new products in their collection: Eye Candy Eyeshadow Palette and the new Honey I'm Good Hi-Definition Brow Pencil (Whoa!). These are cool new makeup products to consider in your Christmas wish list to get you primped and pretty for your upcoming holiday parties.

I'm particularly interested in the brow pencil because this is their newest product so let's go ahead and review these babies!

Pink Sugar Eye Candy Eyeshadow Palette in Candy Confetti is a combination of shimmer and matte with shimmer eyeshadows. At first glance, it reminded me of a similar Pink Sugar palette that already came out in the past; I checked my blog posts and yes, it is a spin-off of one of the first Eye Candy eyeshadow palettes called EC-02 (link HERE), but this one is more shimmery and some of the colors and finishes have just been replaced.

Now onto my favorite part! The brow pencil! Honey I'm Good Hi-Definition Brow Pencil are automatic pencils with a complementary spoolie on the other end. It comes in two shades: Hot Chocolate and Toasted Walnut.

I just find the diameter of the brow pencil a bit too round and huge; it would have been better if the tip were slanted and slimmer for better and more effective mapping of the brows.

Here are the swatches of the products. 

The eyeshadow has a smooth, silky, medium to full color finish. I like that the eyeshadows are not super shimmery and overly metallic; they have the right shine to them that I can use the palette whether day or night.

The two pencil swatches on my pulse area are the brow pencils in Toasted Walnut (left) and Hot Chocolate (right).

The brow pencils are very creamy and highly pigmented; there's a good and bad side to it: 

The good is the pencil does not need warming up so less drag on your brows and skin, plus it imparts color very easily and the pencil is sensitive to varying degrees of hand force and imparts coverage that is tantamount to the force applied; in that aspect, it becomes a customizable product; the product may be very pigmented, but you can achieve a shadowy or dramatic brow effect with it. 

The bad is the pencil is very creamy (and a tad bit waxy too) that it tends to stick to brow strands; at least that can be remedied by combing it out to thin the coverage. But if you have very thick brow strands, the product can either clump on strands or flatten your brows because of its creamy formula.

Honey I'm Good Hi-Definition Brow Pencil in Hot Chocolate

 Hot Chocolate is dark brown with a hint of red.

Honey I'm Good Hi-Definition Brow Pencil in Toasted Walnut

Toasted Walnut is dark brown with a taupe undertone.

Both shades are too close to each other; I wish they were much more different from each other considering there are only two shades available. 

The brow products don't set fast enough and can last the whole day, but it isn't waterproof. Those with very oily skin will need to prime before usage so the product will last longer.

Here's me wearing the eyeshadow palette in Candy Confetti. Pretty colors and they fit my morena skin tone, plus it's a day-to-night palette. Some of the shades were okay and pigmented through and through, but some were better on the arm swatch such as the midtone browns and taupes. I use a primer with this eyeshadow palette to make them lats the whole day.

Candy Confetti is a nice palette for everyday, especially if you're looking for one palette that contains varying neutrals and about 3 shades that add a pop of color or different twist to the look.

The brow pencil can still be improved in terms of the shape and formula, but my recommendation for this is it's perfect for those with sparse brows since it's pigmented and the creaminess will add a slight 3D effect to the overall finish.
