THE VERDICT:

The local Filipino beauty industry is booming and I can't be any proud! It has always been my dream for Filipino products to step on a much larger stage and reach the global market; because I know that our concepts and ideas can potentially be world- class and at the same time, this will open up a lot of opportunities for the country: more entrepreneurs, more livelihood, more income, better economy, better life. 

We are still light years ahead of establishing a solid, SME- supportive industry and from growing the manufacturing sector; it will take a political force that will come together and focus on growing the SME and manufacturing sector, but I tip my hat to the ones who are brave enough to try like TALA BEAUTY with their No Bad Days Creamy Matte Lipstick.

Tala Beauty was started by three friends who are passionate about makeup and kind beauty. Tala Beauty is paraben- free, cruelty- free and features 4 pilot classic colors.

Here's the lipstick bullets. They're made from high quality plastic material; feels like acrylic even, but not quite sure about that. Overall, it doesn't feel flimsy nor cheap. Packaging screams 3CE and aesthetic screams EM Cosmetics. Man, 3CE truly became the benchmark for aesthetic beauty advertising of this century. Geniuses.

The products can be purchased individually. For the holidays, they came out with this holiday set featuring the four shades for P1,000 only; you save P100.

EVERYDAY

- Muted peach with brown. An MLBB shade when you just want to sport the au naturel look for everyday.

DAY TO NIGHT

- Day To Night is a warm rose shade. Great for office wear, casual wear, date nights, formal events; it's a very universal shade!

DREAM

- Dream is a dirty nude shade. Great for casual wear and a nude that works on morena skin. I like!

FEARLESS

- A classic red. Love how vibrant this red is!

Here's a close- up; it's a creamy matte lipstick with a hint of sheen. The sheen goes away for a little, but overall finish is semi- matte. It is unscented, has a balmy texture, and pigmentation is superb. It is very moisturizing; my lips did not get dry, but it tends to settle into fine lines; I just want to point out that it also gives you the feeling that something is sitting on top of your lips after a few hours of wear, but I can tolerate it. Staying power is okay; it lasts pretty much the whole day, but it needs to be retouched.

Overall, it's a nice lipstick. The shades are very common, but definitely are easy, timeless choices; the shades also compliment all skin tones. Tala Beauty is a promising brand and I'm just happy that their lipsticks aren't drying-at all, it's affordable, and proudly Pinoy!
