THE VERDICT:

One of the first- ever pricey semi- high end makeup removers I have tried-and still love and would recommend despite the price tag-is The Body Shop's Camomile Makeup Remover Collection. I swear, it's one of the gentlest I have used not to mention the most effective.

I have recently received a Camomile Makeup remover set last Christmas and it's one of the BEST.GIFTS.EVER. Only makeup lovers would understand the joy of receiving makeup removers as a gift haha! I mean, makeup removers are basically an essential and getting these as a gift means more savings on our end. :D

My love for The Body Shop's Camomile makeup remover has just been resurrected, all thanks to the new Cleansing Butter! Review below!

The Body Shop Camomile Makeup Remover set was released last year as one of the holiday 2020 gift sets; the set features full- sized Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, and Muslin Cloth. This makeup remover collection is gentle and suitable for sensitive skin types.

The Body Shop Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is their version of the cleansing balm, a rising type of makeup remover in the makeup world. The formula contains Camomile extract from Norfolk, England; sustainably sourced, as always!

The cleansing balm has a semi- creamy, smooth consistency; other cleansing balms are gel-cream in nature and lighter while this one feels thicker and much more concentrated and apt for heavy makeup removal. It has a light floral fragrance too. 

I think what makes this stand out more as a cleansing balm is the fact that it's perfect for sensitive skin.

The Body Shop Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, on the other hand, is for light eye makeup removal. This has a version for waterproof eye makeup, which is much more suited for me since I wear waterproof eye makeup all the time. Also, 250ml eye makeup remover for only P595?! That's great!

This one is not for sale, but I highly appreciate the inclusion of a muslin cloth in the set; it's either a replacement for tissue usage or as a towel for thorough facial cleansing. To more sustainable choices this 2020. :)

I just learned that the cleansing butter can only be purchased in the set as the individuals are already sold out so if I were you, grab the set today because it has such good value!

If you have sensitive skin and want a makeup remover line that works and isn't priced as luxury (and feels like one!) I highly recommend The Body Shop Camomile makeup remover range.
