THE VERDICT:
I love my Colourette Colourtints; however, I just find the glass packaging a bit hard and risky to lug around, plus what's with the brush applicator that just deliberately fans out after some time, as if it were saying "I GIVE UP"?
A lot of Colourtint fans have the same plight and it is no secret for the brand. Like any good business, Colourette took the time and developed a new packaging for the beloved Colourtints and before 2019 closed, they have unveiled their new and improved packaging plus new shades to boot!
So what's the anatomy of the new Colourtint packaging?
- liquid lipstick format with a doe foot applicator. Reminds me of Tarte Shape Tape's packaging
- metal ball inside each tube for easier mixing
- bigger tube opening for seamless pigment pick up and rubber stopper as reinforcement to keep the liquid from spilling
Colourette has thoroughly thought about their new packaging; way back when I was dreaming of a better packaging for this product, I have actually thought that a liquid lipstick tube would be a better option than glass because it's lighter, virtually risk- free, and the formula is sort of a watery type of liquid lipstick anyway.
I don't know if they have changed the formula, but I actually find it much better now! It's much more spreadable, the signature vanilla-chocolate scent seems much more fragrant and delish, and of course, it's still very pigmented.

- Dirty rose with brown undertone.
2. ELLIE
- Milk chocolate brown.
3. RILEY
- Berry rose.
4. LUCY
- Warm rose with a hint of purple.
5. OLIVE
- Nude malt brown (one of my favorites!)
6. UMI
- Spicy red with a hint of orange (crowd favorite!)
7. TARA
- Bright salmon red.
8. TATI
- Warm coral.
9. CELESTE
- Berry mauve.
10. OCEAN
- Toasted brown. The most popular shade!

Ocean is arguably the most popular shade from the new batch; it's a toasted brown shade with a hint of peach; it warms up fair skin naturally, acts as a natural bronzer, and complements warm skin tone. Olive is a beautiful nude lipstick that doesn't wash out morena skin; these two are my most favorite from the new shades of Colourette Colourtint!

ReplyDeleteIt was really admirable that Colourette take into consideration the plight of users of colourtints like me. I really had a hard time using the old packaging as the oil and pigment builds up in the mouth area of the glass container and really risky because it is glass but I love how unique it is but the new change naman is for the better. I am eyeing ocean too but I got the old packaging for buy 1 take 1 so need to finish them up first. Huhu
