THE VERDICT:
It's been a week since the enhanced community quarantine has been imposed on Metro Manila. How are you guys doing? To be honest, aside from continuing my work from home, almost my entire life routine has been put on hold as everything is at a standstill; I have also transferred to our family home to be with the rest of my family while waiting out this entire quarantine period (we never know!) so there is another layer of adjustment in my daily activities. All this limbo is disconcerting, but I trust that this will be over soon.
Also, mass testing for all Filipinos now regardless of class and no to unnecessary granting of emergency powers!
Anyway! For a bit of normalcy, I've got a review for you guys and it's the beauty vlogger favorite Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions Skin Care line; it's a good and affordable anti- acne and anti- roughness skin care line, and a cheap way to ease yourself into acid usage!
Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions is an anti-acne, for oily skin skin care range that combines the power of AHA and BHA to get rid of blemishes, lighten skin, and keep it soft and smooth; it has Lactic Acid that gently exfoliates and has anti-ageing properties, Glycolic Acid that exfoliates and brightens, Salicylic Acid that declogs pores and clears pimples, Niacinamide that helps lighten and fortify the skin, and Tea Tree Oil that adds more antibacterial properties to help maintain a blemish- free skin.

For a very affordable skin care range, it looks posh and the products seem to be priced about P500 each, but they're definitely cheaper than that; the packaging design is also giving me COSRX vibes.
L: facial cleanser; R: emulsion |
The facial wash has a clear gel consistency; it has a semi- rich foamy formula and is quite concentrated so a little goes a long way. A lot of people are comparing Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions facial cleanser to COSRX's Good Morning Low pH cleansing gel; when it comes to the packaging and tangible qualities of the product, both are similar; however, this cleanser has SLES placed high in the ingredients list, making it high pH whereas COSRX Good Morning cleanser is low pH. In terms of formula, COSRX is better because it does not disrupt the pH of the skin.
The toner is a clear, light liquid that doesn't sting; I like the toner because it's light and refreshing; it rids my skin of excess oil and gives me that fresh feeling without any sting, stickiness, or residue.
The emulsion is a light gel- cream that gets absorbed by the skin easily and is perfect for daytime use; for night time however, it is too light to keep skin hydrated the entire night, but if you have excessively oily skin, the texture may be just right for you anytime of the day.
The entire range has a signature tea tree oil scent, which is one thing that I dislike; I don't hate it; it's just that I'm not really fond of the odor of Tea Tree.
I've been using the range for a month now and I must say, I'm impressed. My skin was kinda' breaking out the first time I tried the range and the night after my first trial, my big fat zit was flattened and was completely gone by the third day. Aside from this, it helped lighten some of my marks and my skin looked smoother and much more transparent- looking overall.
To me, the formula is pretty mild so when I have an angry zit, I still go back to my trusty zit zappers and acid- based skin care from Pixi and Drunk Elephant, but what I like about the formula is it combines AHA and BHA, two acids that have merit but are prone to misuse if used and combined individually so it's like Luxe Organix combined both in a gentle formula for instant, safe usage.
Word of caution though, do a patch test first before using acids and acid- based skin care, most especially if you have sensitive skin or it's your first time. I also don't use any other exfoliators, more acids, and retinol if I'm using a full- blown acid- based skin care range and I would advise you to do the same too.
Overall, Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions skin care is great for oily and mildly acne- prone skin types, and also for maintaining smooth, clear skin; it's the skin care that I'll use if I'm having a mild breakout or after waging war with a grave breakout and would just want to maintain clear skin; plus it's affordable too! How I wish I got the spot treatment had I known that this skin care range is pretty good!

DeleteI don't think the toner is good for the skin because the second ingredient is alcohol denat which basically is a type of alcohol that is really bad for your skin. And it comes second to the ingredient list which means the product is largely comprised of alcohol and water
