THE VERDICT:

While I'm raving about MAC's Full Coverage foundation, which to me is the best cream foundation there is, a good part of the makeup- loving community is swearing by this: MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. I know how popular this product is, but I only got to try it last year...after all its years of existence! 

Now I have finally understood why everyone loves this foundation; it's a good ol' foundation that gives flawless, light coverage that's perfect enough for everyday!

Ingredients

MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Fluid Foundation is a crowd favorite liquid foundation with SPF 15 and medium to full coverage; it promises long- lasting coverage up to 24 hours; non-drying and at the same time, good for oily skin as it has oil- controlling properties. The range comes in over 60 shades.

NC40 is described by MAC's official website as a 'medium beige with golden peach undertone for medium skin' (C starts for Cool with MAC's base products). I've used NC40 when I have discovered and started using MAC's face bases, but I found it a bit too light on me that's why I moved one shade down to NC42; I've stuck with it, but I've always thought it was a bit too orange on me.

This is perhaps one of the reasons why I moved on from MAC's face bases and didn't use it for years; I've always found their shades either too dark or light, at least for me.

I was surprised that along with the new look and packaging, the shades seem to have improved! I remember NC40 was pretty light on me before (the powder and liquid foundation), but now, it suits me just fine; in fact, I think it suits me better now!

Consistency is a bit creamy, but has lightness to it. It is unscented.

Studio Fix Fluid still comes in the signature glass bottle with no dispenser; the packaging is a bit of a hassle, especially if you use it on a daily basis, but I think there is a separate pump dispenser available for purchase.

One and one a half layer of MAC Studio Fix Foundation

The lightly creamy consistency makes it so easy to spread, blend, and it makes skin look naturally flawless; finish is dewy matte and doesn't look matte at all.

I like the finish and look of my skin with this foundation; I know there's foundation, but the formula is flawless and beautiful, and it looks apt even for daytime, everyday wear. Staying power is very good: keeps my oilies at bay for about 4 hours and manages to stay 60% fresh until the end of the day.

Now I know why this foundation is famous! It has good coverage for medium to moderate hyper pigmentation, feels and looks light on the skin, and has pretty good for staying power; it's flawless finish for everyday that instantly gives you transformed, smoother- looking skin!
