THE VERDICT:

Water and hydration make great skin care; as someone who's been a fan of hydrating skin care products for years, I can attest that it is one of the important ingredients to consider in skin care if you want to maintain healthy, bouncy, youthful skin and sometimes, the only thing that your skin is deficient of when you are experiencing seasonal skin problems.

But with Bio Science, water has just been given a whole new meaning; in skin care, it can actually be very powerful! I've never used a Micellar Water that can remove even the most stubborn waterproof makeup formulas and a facial mist that can actually make skin look healthy and fresh- looking the whole day!

Bio Science is apparently one of the leading Asian skin care brands that had its roots in Singapore. A skin for Asians made by Asians, Bio Science is formulated with unique ingredients and innovative formulas that understand our skin needs. Bio Science is also ideal for sensitive skin.

Bio Science Micellar Water is a makeup remover with Hyaluronic Acid and PM 2.55 Anti-Pollution formula; formula is alcohol- free, fragrance- free, mineral oil- free, colorant- free, dermatologically- tested, and suitable for sensitive skin.

PM 2.55 refers to the product's level of makeup removal; 2.55 is about the size of nano particles of dirt, dust, and other types of environmental pollutants; these particles are so tiny that they can enter your pores right away, which will eventually cause clogging and breakouts; Bio Science Micellar Water's formula promises that it can go and cleanse deep down the pores to dislodge dirt and foreign particles from your face for genuinely clean skin.

Of course, the PM 2.55 promise is something that I should experience and see for myself; since I don't have any idea what nano particles look like, I have decided to test the product on something tangible that can prove how tough this product is: MAKEUP.

I tested this product on my L'Oreal Infallible Les Macarons lip color; everyone knows that this is one of the longest- lasting liquid lipsticks there is; not even oily food can make it budge!

When I got home, I soaked a cotton pad, placed it on top of my lips for about 2 minutes and gently rubbed the lipstick off my lips and voila! The liquid lipstick came off almost effortlessly; there was some rubbing action, but I didn't have to do it forcefully; the product removed the liquid lipstick completely. Unbelievable! Before encountering this product, I could only remove L'Oreal's Infallible lipstick with thick cleansing oils and a cleansing balm; mind you, these heavy duty cleansers aren't even enough sometimes to remove the product completely from my lips!

When it comes to quality, consistency is just like any micellar water product, but when it comes to the feel, this one surprisingly does not leave my face dry; it doesn't evaporate quickly and a little goes a long way.

Bio Science Energizing Water is a facial mist with cooling properties and low salt content, making it ideal for sensitive skin and even for use on babies. You can use it as an all around mist as base for moisturizer, fixing spray, for cleansing baby's delicate skin, and even for removing hair static.

What's up with the salt content? Most facial mists use water that have moderate salt content since it's a naturally- occurring mineral; while salt is great for acne- prone skin, it can be an irritant on sensitive skin types and for those with compromised skin with conditions such as rosacea. Bio Science has formulated this mist to contain low salt so there's a mist that is suitable for more sensitive skin types.

I primarily use this mist as base for moisturizer, a fixing spray, and as a pick-me-upper especially now that it's summer. I love that it has a slight cooling feel (but it has no menthol/mint ingredients whatsoever) and when I started using this product, I noticed that my face looks much more fresh- looking and my gel moisturizer's benefits seem to linger longer.

I love both products, but if I could only recommend one out of the two, I'd say get the micellar water! It's the most powerful micellar water I have ever used and frankly, one of the best since it has proven that it can remove stubborn, ultra waterproof makeup formulas with ease and high efficacy; really glad I came across this brand and I'm looking forward to trying out their Vitamin B5 serum and Hydrating Sunscreen!
