Here in the southern part of Manila, summer can be ridiculously hot and even if it's the rainy season already, the temperature can still become a bit grueling. The earth has gotten hotter indeed. I'm literally sweating like a pig every time I move around and this muggy, hot weather got me looking for cooling skin care products to somehow soothe my skin and calm my nerves.
Here are some of my awesome cooling skin care products for very hot days or if you simply just want an invisible blanket of ice on your skin!
1. SUNSILK NATURALS WATERMELON SHAMPOO
- This used to be a limited edition shampoo, but thank goodness, the hair gods heard my plea and they moved Unilever to finally make this a permanent product. Sunsilk Naturals Watermelon shampoo is my most favorite variant in their range; it smells really nice and fresh, has a mild cooling effect, and the clarifying formula doesn't make my hair dry too.
2. HEAD AND SHOULDERS COOL MENTHOL SHAMPOO
- One of the OG cooling shampoos in the market. Not only does it cool the scalp, it helps get rid and prevent dandruff too. If you're into intense cooling, you will love this.
3. CLEAR MEN COOL SPORT MENTHOL
- One of the best cooling shampoos for men that is moisturizing and soothing; I sometimes use this too!
3. DOVE MEN FORTIFYING SHAMPOO
- Another good cooling shampoo for men. This has energizing caffeine extract and my bro loves it because in his words, "It's like I'm pouring coffee on my head. It wakes me up!"
4. SAFEGUARD -5 DEGREES ARCTIC FRESH BODY WASH
- My friends have been raving about this product in our chat group so I decided to buy one for myself. The -5 degrees feel tagline really got me. I tried it last week and aside from the refreshing, aquatic scent, it leaves a pretty cool sensation on the skin. I love using this after a work out!
5. OLAY STRAWBERRY AND MINT COOLING BODY WASH
- A lightly cooling body wash that smells so nice and energizing, it reminds me of all the good things about summer!
6. ESFOLIO MOISTURE SOOTHING ALOE VERA GEL
- A soothing all- around gel that's great to use when your skin is feeling very warm and prickly. Chuck it in the fridge for a few hours for a blast of icy freshness!
7. NIVEA COOLING LOTUS WHITE LOTION
- Nivea's newest cooling lotion that promises a feeling up to 2 degrees cooler. It has a light floral fragrance and really feels nice and cool on the skin, and it's very moisturizing, but not heavy.
8. MENTHOLATUM LIP GEL
- A super cooling lip balm that soothes and moisturizes. I feel really refreshed whenever I use this because the lips have a lot of nerve endings, therefore I feel the cooling sensation more. I use this a lot when I go out to run errands.
That's all for my recommended and awesome cooling skin care finds. Got any favorites? Share it with us!
