THE VERDICT:

About a month ago, EB Advance has released Power Paint, one of their much- anticipated releases for the strong and growing tint- loving population. EB Advance takes off from the usual fresh finish of tints and takes it up a notch with a multitasking pigment that is so pigmented and water- resistant to boot, it opens up a myriad of creative possibilities for any makeup lover. I've been trying it out recently and here's what I think about the product!

EB Advance Power Paint is a multitasking pigment for the cheek, lips, and eyes. It can be used as a cream blush, lid wash, tint, lipstick, base, mixing pigment, cream eyeshadow, painting/drawing pigment, and what have you. It comes in four shades.

First off, the packaging. I like watercolor paint tube- inspired packaging because it's so convenient--one of the best types of makeup packaging there is. The overall branding and look though is very much like Glossier's Cloud Paint.

There are only four shades. From left to right, we have Scarlet, Sangria, Chiffon, Amber.

Texture is rich and creamy; the swatches on top, I was able to produce with just 1/4 the size of a pea; it's THAT pigmented. The formula feels like it is high on silicone, which gives it its pleasant feel and consistency so if you are allergic to silicone, better do a patch test first before usage.

A little goes a long way-LIKE LITERALLY. I've had to work around this product before I found the right amount to use. The first time I used it, it's like I swiped red paint across my cheeks LOL. Btw, the right amount to get for a natural look for everyday, at least for me, is about the size of the head of a sewing pin.

And that said, this product is not that newbie- friendly and has a learning curve as you have to practice using the product and experimenting with volumes to get it right and working perfectly for everyday.

My two favorite shades are Chiffon and Sangria. Check out the shades when worn:

Sangria is a deep rosy red. The color code on the tube of Sangria though should be on Chiffon and vice versa. :D

Here's Sangria applied heavily on the lips. I like the blurred matte effect of the product on the lips! It's also not that drying despite the powder matte feel.

Here's Chiffon, a muted peach with a rose undertone. This one is great for everyday and the lightest among the three, therefore I recommend this to those who are looking for the easiest shade to work with in the Power Paint range.

What's good about these tints is aside from being multitasking, they're long- lasting (stays on the whole day as long as set properly with powder), can be applied on top of powdered skin with virtually no problem (like Colourette's Colourtints!), and doesn't stain the skin unlike water- based tints.

Overall, this is a good product to have, but to those who will buy this, be prepared to have it for a long time if you will only intend to use it for everyday because it's so rich and pigmented; if you're a makeup artist or you love experimenting with makeup looks, you may use up one tube faster compared to an everyday user, but regardless, this tube will last anyone for quite a while because it's.so.pigmented. If there's one shade that I recommend that you get, it's Sangria!
