THE VERDICT:

When I got this product, I thought it's a totally new brand, but when I researched about it, I discovered that it's Huda Beauty's skin care line! Le gasp! Have I been living under a rock? Why did I not know that Huda has finally released a skin care line?!

This luxurious cleansing butter-balm hybrid melts away waterproof makeup effectively and it's so dreamy and smells so good!

Wishful by Huda Kattan is a skin care line with formulas and products inspired by her own experience and feedback from fans. This no- nonsense skin care line aims to provide simple yet powerful skin care solutions that yield long- lasting results for all skin types. 

Ingredients

Wishful prides themselves of formulas that contain little to no common ingredients that may cause skin irritation. As for Clean Genie, Wishful said that it contains no more than 50 ingredients and free from SLS, SLES, parabens, and pthalates.

The key ingredients of Clean Genie are:

Green Tea- prolongs moisture on this skin, detoxifies, and clarifies

Malachite Stone- a crystal that has transformational benefits and aids skin in the detoxifying process

Cherry Blossom- conditions and softens the skin

 

A lot of beauty brands, especially Western brands, are getting more and more into the crystal-skin care integration trend; Wishful is one of them. As a believer of the healing power of crystals, I appreciate that I'm using one now through Wishful. Though I did not feel significantly relaxed or awakened (lol) after using this product, I believe that it some way, the Malachite ingredient helps. :)

But what I want to focus on is the amazing quality of this product. Consistency is a butter-balm hybrid; it's very emollient and concentrated that I only need a little to melt away makeup, but I always end up getting more than needed simply because I love slathering this product on my face lol.

The balm melt instantly as you spread it across your skin; it's not messy, doesn't drip, and rinses off easily. The scent is soft green floral and it's so soothing. It emulsifies as well so it doubles as a facial cleanser too.

This is actually a lazy girl's cleansing butter: grab a dollop or two and slather across your face and even eyes (yes, it can remove waterproof eye makeup); it doesn't sting my eyes that why I love it! I can truly say that this will work on any waterproof makeup because it works effectively in removing Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation, which is arguably the MOST WATERPROOF foundation out there lol.

I'm very happy with this product and looking forward to purchasing it again in the future. Clean Genie Cleansing Butter is a simple, lazy girl's solution to removing all sorts of makeup and best of all, no break outs and irritation!
