1. DON'T TEST MAKEUP ON COUNTERS!
- Don't be like the lady. Makeup testers are not only hotbeds of bacteria, but also viruses. At this time, even if boutiques and counters are offering disposable so you can try out makeup, don't do it. The virus is very sneaky and there's always the risk of getting it even if you are very careful.
And when you encounter a boutique or brand that offers testers, gently remind the SAs that COVID-19 is still around and they shouldn't encourage this activity.
2. SANITIZE HANDS RIGHT AWAY AFTER TOUCHING MAKEUP
- As you pick up tubes, jars, and compacts to check them out, you never know if one item you have touched has viruses on the surface. Right after a window shopping or shopping spree around makeup counters, make sure to sanitize your hands; or better yet, go to the nearest restroom and wash your hands with soap and water-these are still the best tools to effectively get rid of the viruses from your hands.
3. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FACE MASK ON DURING BEAUTY TREATMENTS
- Since June of last year, I have already started taking my usual salon treatments, but not as frequent as before. Remember to always keep your mask on when taking beauty treatments and only take it out if very necessary.
4. DON'T GO OUT WHEN YOU ARE FEELING FEVERISH AND SICK
- Fever, cough, and runny nose are not necessarily signs that you have COVID-19, but you never know, right? You are also more susceptible to contracting diseases if your immune system is down. Just to be safe and to inhibit the spread in case you are asymptomatic, just stay at home if you are feeling feverish. Isolate, observe your body, and get tested asap and if possible.
5. ALWAYS SANITIZE PURCHASES...EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY HAVE ANTIBACTERIAL PACKAGING
- I've been seeing packaging that say they have been sterilized and have anti-bacterial properties. I don't really believe this, but let's say it's true, you have to know that viruses and bacteria aren't as weak as you think.
Before you take your paper bags to your room, be sure to sanitize them. Spritzing alcohol can destroy or soak pretty packaging and gifts so I suggest get those UV sterilizing lights. One brand I know that's a favorite of many is UV Care.
UV Care is a certified brand of UV-C sterilizers. It's a go- to of many individuals, health care providers, and even establishments; I've been to the mall last week and saw that the escalators are now equipped with sterilizing light courtesy of UV Care.
UV Care has a wide range of sterilizing equipment and portables for the home, office, and industries. A favorite of many Filipinos is the air sterilizer and they have UV Care Super Air Cleaner that helps purify air through a 7- step filtration system; what's cool is it has a light indicator that shows the quality of air in real time. It is also equipped with a UV lamp that eliminates 99% of bacteria and viruses that cause allergic rhinitits, asthma, smallpox, chicken pox, measles, tuberculosis, measles, influenza, and others.
UV Care Multipurpose Sterilizer is great for home or office use; sanitize documents, baby bottles, dishes, money, clothes, bags, and deliveries, among other things.
UV Care Aircon Sterilizer helps get rid of mold and biofilm build- up around coils and helps minimize frequent chemical cleaning.
UV Care Room Sterilizer is great for sterilizing rooms and common areas. This powerful device helps sterilize areas up to 60sqm and ensures that pathogens do not spread and multiply across an area.
UV Care Germ Zapper eliminates up to 99% bacteria and viruses on areas up to 55sqm.
And for your beauty purchases, make sure to get UV Care Pocket Sterilizer, a portable sterilizing UV light wand that you can pop in your bag and run over paper bags, boxes, and items before bringing them into your car, home, and room. This is also a good must have for makeup artists.
There you go! Hope you enjoyed this post and please share with your loved ones and fellow beauty junkies. Stay beautiful and stay safe!
If you're interested to purchase the wand, just go to UV CARE OFFICIAL WEBSITE to purchase. UV Care is also available in leading department stores.

ReplyDeleteThank you Ms Martha for these reminders. Up to now, people are still lackadaisical on health protocols. It just shows people don't care at all.
