THE VERDICT:

Early this year, Benefit has released a new They're Real product to join their best- selling eye makeup family (and it's one of my most favorite product lines of Benefit too!). It's been a while since I wore mascara because of this pandemic, but lately, I'm starting to wear mascara again; and I'm reminded once again how much I love the look of clean, blushed skin and thick eyelashes. :D

Benefit They're Real Magnet Mascara is a lengthening mineral- rich mascara with a magnetically- charged core that activates the minerals to lift and pull lashes for a sky- high finish. It promises to stay put for 36 hours and won't smudge or flake. Currently, it only comes in the shade black.

Ingredients

This is the mascara applicator. It's a chunky applicator with zigzag bristles to reach the tiniest lashes and tightest corners so as you apply the mascara, everything is covered. The applicator is a little big for my eye shape though, but I think it's meant that way to house the magnetically- charged core or a magnet or something.

The mascara has a soft cream texture. Be sure to even out each application because it has a tendency to feel heavy, but at least it is less prone to clumping.

After three layers of They're Real Magnet Mascara

Check out my lashes: it looks fuller, each lash more defined, and true enough, it helps lift the lashes. I don't know what magic there is, but after every layer, I could really see my lashes fanned upwards.

Now since we are talking about gravitational pull, the law of gravity states that everything on the Earth must come down; this means don't expect the lift to stay the whole day. I've worn this the whole day yesterday and my lashes have settled somewhere in the middle, but it didn't droop. Also, as mentioned, the consistency of the mascara is a bit creamy and may weigh lashes down if you apply a lot so heed my advice, especially if you have sparse lashes and thin strands: around 2 coats are okay and make sure that mascara coverage is even. One great thing about this mascara is it indeed lasts the whole day-no smudging plus formula holds curls pretty well if you curl your lashes. 

Overall, this is a good lengthening mascara with a bit of volumizing benefits; best for you if you want long lashes and a mascara that doesn't smudge and can hold curls well. The formula is best for those with thicker lash strands that can hold thick thicker formulas better than sparse strands.
