THE VERDICT:

One of my most favorite acids in skin care is Hyaluronic Acid. Because my skin responds so well with it and it's my secret to super hydrated, plump, and healthy skin; hydration is one of the important benefits in skin care for me and Hyaluronic Acid is one of those ingredients that gives me effective, authentic hydration.

My favorite is Hada Labo, but I have recently discovered an affordable Hyaluronic Acid skin care line that is complete and most of all, effective: HYALOO. If you want to try out Hyaluronic Acid or incorporate it in your routine without spending a lot, then this range is most definitely for you!

Hyaloo is a new local skin care brand by Ever Bilena group. Hyaloo's formula is made using Korean skin care technology and enriched with 4 types of Hyaluronic Acid.

There are two skin care sets by Hyaloo: AQUA PLUS+ with Hydra-Ceramide Technology and Glow Boost with Hydra- Vitamin Technology.

Glow Boost has Niacinamide, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, 4 types of Hyaluronic Acid, and vitamin complex. The collection is for hydration and brightening. The range includes a facial wash, toner, moisturizer, face and body gel, and sheet mask.

Packaging wise, I like its cute, sunny color way and design; the whole design concept looks chic. It's also nice that the products come in boxes, but personally, I think Hyaloo can do away with the excessive packaging. #SaveTheEarth.

Foam Wash- My favorite from this line. it's rich, concentrated and has moisturizing pearl swirls to prevent skin from feeling taut and dry; and this is what I like about this facial wash: it cleans thoroughly without drying out the skin.

Low ph Toner- alcohol- free, non- sting toner that feels very moisturizing; it has a "thick water" consistency and perfect for those who have sensitive skin and tend to have sensitized skin after using an alcohol- based toner. This is also a good toner to use in conjunction with an alcohol- based toner in case you want something that will immediately counteract the drying effect of the latter. Also, it's a pretty affordable and accessible low pH toner!

Water Cream SPF 50 PA+++- My second favorite from this line. a light, super runny, watery cream with a mild floral fragrance. This is popular among a lot of skin care enthusiasts because of its super lightweight, non- clogging, and white- cast free formula. I see the appeal of this product: because aside from being highly spreadable, it yields no white cast and works nicely under makeup. Even if you put a lot and you see a hint of white cast on your skin, you can easily buff and remove it.

Face and Body Gel- My third favorite from this line. This is a very hydrating, multitasking gel; it's a good alternative to Aloe Vera/Snail/Tomato gels. It's fragrance- free and I like cooling this in the fridge before use; so refreshing!

Sheet Mask- a really nice, hydrating sheet mask that's drenched with a serum- like formula. It's a good complement to the entire range; nice to have, but there are other more affordable sheet masks that work just fine.

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now, specifically during the time when COVID has hit my family and we were required to wear masks inside the house for a month. My face started to feel dry and was breaking out specifically on the areas that were covered by the mask. Along with acids and spot treatments, I've used Hyaloo and I'm fortunately, it helped my skin heal with the help of hydration and helped keep it moisturized and well- hydrated, which caused less dryness, ergo less breakouts. I've also noticed that the marks left behind by maskne would lighten up faster.

Overall, Hyaloo is a good starter skin care for those who want to dip their toes in the world of Hyaluronic Acid products without spending a lot. I highly recommend the foam wash, face and body gel, and water cream spf 50 pa+++!
