THE VERDICT:

In one of the press junkets that I have participated in, I had an interesting discussion with a scientist/doctor about personal hygiene; we talked about so many things and what stuck with me is this statement of his: CLEANLINESS IS YOUR FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST DISEASES. I have lived by this statement since hearing it and made it my primary approach when it comes to personal hygiene. I make it a point to wash my hands all the time and after touching various surfaces and to clean my things after traveling or a day out. I also credit my strict approach to cleanliness as one of the reasons why I manage to avoid COVID after so many months (God forbid that I get it!).

I recently tried UV Sterilizers for that extra step to cleanliness and my brand of choice is EasyLife, this fairly affordable brand of hygiene solutions that make my everyday feel safer. If you're planning on investing in these, then read on because this post may be handy for you1

Famous Brands is the local distributor of various appliance and home brands such as Dowell, Thermos, Pureit, Sharp, Tefal, Omron, Krups, Irest, and Eglo. EasyLife is on of the newest additions to their growing portfolio of brands.

EasyLife is a brand of UV sterilizers they use genuine UV light. I'd like to emphasize this with my readers: NOT ALL UV LIGHT STERILIZATION EQUIPMENT USE REAL UV LIGHT. Some use LED light, which absolutely has ZERO sterilization properties and are mostly found in super cheap products. So if the price is too good to be true, then it probably is. Be warned and don't be duped!

EasyLife has three types of UV sterilizers.

Portable UV Sterilizer is a handheld sterilizer for travel. Here are the specs:

Dual Power Mode: Battery and USB

Gravity Sensor that shuts down to protect eyes

Effective Sterilization through UV irradiation technology

Easy One-Button function

Foldable side flip design for easy storage

My most favorite feature of this product is its Gravity Sensor: when the light is turned upwards, it automatically shuts down to protect your eyes from UV light. It makes use of four AAA batteries and feels pretty lightweight.

Next is EasyLife UV Sterilizer box, which is my favorite. This versatile box can be used for sterilizing trinkets, mobile phones, gadgets, face masks, hair accessories, jewelry, keys, and other small items.

There are two modes to this product:

Sterilizing- for general sterilization

Incense- for aromatherapy, which is designed to remove unwanted odor from face masks

The percentage indicators tell you the level of sterilization that has been achieved while in use; when it hits 100%, the process is done and the device shuts down on its own. 

The small holes on the upper right hand corner of the base is where you can add a few droplets of essential oils to perfume and sanitize face masks.

I use this all the time with my gadgets and it's safe to use! I prefer using this versus alcohol or wipes because these can corrode the surfaces/paint/design of the gadgets.

Finally, UV Sterilization and Dryer UVS 17. This is designed for home use for sanitizing bigger items such as wallets and pouches on top of items that can fit in the UV Sterilizer box. This sterilizer promises to kill 99.9% of bacteria. Here are the specs:

• 4 Function Modes: Auto, Sterilize, Dry, Store
• Auto Mode: Dry-Sterilize-Storage
• 17L capacity (around 12 wide neck bottles)
• Sterilize using UV Irradiation technology
• Drying with Low temperature (55-65 Celsius) by PTC Heater 
• Storage function can keep items in sterile condition up to 72 hours
• Ventilation Fan to remove unwanted odors
• Air cleaning with activated carbon filter 

The package comes with two air filters. You can inquire with Famous Brands for extra air filters should you need more replacements.

The sterilizer has a smart design: easy to navigate button panel and compact, minimalist design. The inside is stainless steel, which minimizes the risk of bacteria and viruses thriving inside the sterilizer.

Aside from trinkets, you can also use it to sterilize make up brushes, makeup, remote controls, toys, baby bottles, tumblers, cups, mugs, and even money. This is ideal for household with babies and seniors.

Cases may be going down, but this doesn't mean that we can be complacent. Just be sure to practice safety protocols, prioritize cleanliness, and take that extra step to safety with cleanliness tools such as EasyLife.
