Here are five skin care trends for 2022 that you should watch out for; out of all the trends that I've read, these are what I think are the most essential and interesting!
SKIN CARE DEVICES WILL RISE
- Skin care devices were once confined in clinics and are primarily recommended to be used with your dermatologist's guidance, but the rise of DIY skin care and demand for derma clinic- level skin care routines at home have paved the way for handy, mobile skin care devices that are easy to use and will give consumers the pampering feeling and benefits that they get from a skin clinic visit. We should expect to see more of these facial skin care devices this year that will help us achieve that post- skin clinic treatment glow right at home.
But for skin care problems, there is still no substitute for a doctor's consultation.
STRONG SKIN BARRIER IS THE SKIN CARE THEME THIS YEAR
Continued stress and heavy usage of and experimentation with skin care products have produced their toll on the skin of many individuals, which explains why strengthening the skin barrier will be one of the dominant anthems in skin care this 2022. SKIN CARE SUPPLEMENTS WILL BECOME MORE POPULAR
More people have come to realize the importance of taking care of the inside in order to achieve healthy skin. Expect skin care brands to come up with supplement versions and counterparts of their famous topical skin care products and supplement companies to come up with more skin care- focused supplement collections.
AT HOME SKIN CARE TREATMENTS WILL BE THE NEW NORM
At home skin care sparties and longer skin care routines involving skin care treatments such as masks and devices will become the new friday night out for many people this 2022. Expect to see a rise in individuals purchasing face masks, skin care devices, serums, and skin care sets to complement their routines. Brands should take advantage of the trend by offering product bundles, highlighting skin care as a 'system', and by coming out with products that will support daily skin care routines.
