THE VERDICT:
I used to do a lot of mascara reviews, but now? Hardly. Maybe I'm over mascaras because aside from I don't go out much nowadays because of the pandemic, I think my lashes have gotten thinner due to age (which is perfectly normal) and I don't get my desired result like I used to. Besides, I've found comfort in eyeliner! :D
So nowadays, when I come across a really good mascara, I make sure to share the good news.
I'd like to tell you about one of Too Faced's latest mascaras: Better than Sex Doll Lashes Mascara; this mascara is so good because it gives me clump- free volume!
Ingredients
Too Faced Better Than Sex Doll Lashes mascara promises impressive length, volume, and curl for that sexy doll lash effect. Formula promises a non- flaking, non- smudging formula yet washes off with warm water.
Here's the mascara's wand applicator, which I think is the secret to its clump- free goodness.
Before we dive into the wand, I just want to point out that the mascara has a semi-creamy and sheer consistency, which works great with the wand. The wand is able to distribute and even out the product effectively during application.
Going back to the wand, it has a semi- curved shape, which is meant to catch all your lashes in one go and coat and even out everything in one efficient swipe. There are a lot of mascaras with this kind of wand so it's not unique to Too Faced, but how Too Faced made it better is they elevated the bristles on the curved portion of the wand, which helped prevent clumping in my opinion; similar wands of other mascaras have really short bristles and I find that they sometimes cause clumping. I also like that this wand helps give me a clean fanned out look.
Here's me wearing three coats of the mascara. It's lightweight even at that level of coverage, it dries up efficiently, and it does not smudge nor flake. I haven't tried removing this with warm water, but it comes off easily with cleansing oil. As for the curl promise, it only holds curls for a couple of minutes so I have no significant comment on that. For the volumizing promise, it gives my lashes a full look, not the falsies kind of volume. Oh, it's great for coating bottom lashes too!
Overall, this is a great mascara, especially if you're looking for a good washable mascara or if you have lashes like mine that are thin and starting to get sparse because of aging.
