THE VERDICT:
Eskinol's one of the first- ever skin care brands that I used during my teenage years just because I grew up seeing my mom not letting a day go by without using swiping that clear, curvaceous bottle with a picture of a female, pink swirls, and the world ESKINOL plastered on it. You take it from your mother, I guess!
It's nice to see that one of the good ol' skin care brands that I grew up using has reinvented itself; just around last year, Eskinol came out with the Naturals range that utilized various natural ingredients.
And they came out this year with my favorite Naturals liine to date called Pimple Relief range! Add this to your affordable maskne treatment list!
Eskinol Pimple Relief is a skin care range for acne- prone and oily skin types. It has Salicylic Acid and Cica as the main actives to fight acne and soothe the skin. The range features a micellar water, micellar water cleanser, serum, and spot corrector gel.

Micellar Water- removes makeup and can surprisingly remove even long- lasting eye makeup. It has a slight minty feel so I'm careful not to get it inside my eyes when using. Well it did drip inside my eyes once and it didn't sting like crazy; just rinse it out immediately with soap and water. (Buy Micellar Water HERE)
Micellar Water Facial Wash- lightweight, semi- foamy, and gets rid of oil and grime. It can be a bit drying to the skin because of the acid ingredient and suds so I make sure to moisturize my skin right after usage. This is really nice to use during summer because it doesn't leave any filmy residue on the skin, which can clog the pores or make your skin feel a bit oilier. (Buy Micellar Facial Wash HERE)
Serum- a light, gel serum that gets absorbed easily and has a light, moisturizing effect. The serum has Azelaic Acid, which is a treat because this is a gentle acid that helps get rid of acne and acne scar without stripping or over exfoliating the skin. This is a great alternative to those who've had success using Glycolic Acid against acne (aka me!) and want to use something milder. (Buy Serum HERE)
Spot Corrector Gel- fun fact: Eskinol's ol' spot corrector gel was one of my favorites because it was effective in zapping zits. I'm just glad that the product is back and made even better because it has Cica, which has soothing properties. The gel yields a mild stinging sensation due to the acid. (Buy Spot Corrector Gel HERE)
The products have a signature minty fresh, floral fragrance; it's very light and refreshing. I also like that everything in gel format, which is perfect for my oily skin; it just feels very fresh and sets quickly, which is also perfect for an on-the-go person like me.
I've been using the range for 3 weeks now. How is it? Check out my results:
Before using Eskinol Pimple Relief range. My skin was having a moderate breakout: 3 to 4 pimple sprouted in just a week and I had a couple of whiteheads, which gave my skin a rough look and feel.
I've used the products for 3 weeks plus a moisturizer from another brand because this range didn't come with a moisturizer. Here the result after religious usage:
Tada! Skin look clearer and smoother; it's especially effective on my whiteheads: look how my skin cleared out and looked smoother and healthier. The pimples took about two to three days max to heal using the spot corrector gel.
Among all the products, I'm pretty amazed with the serum and spot corrector gel; I think it was the serum that really helped clarify my skin and got rid of the tiny bumps that gave my skin that rough, dull look. Azelaic Acid, you're amazing!
Now I'm enjoying another round of clear, smooth skin, thanks to Eskinol Pimple Relief range. If there's one product that I wish they would add, it would be a moisturizer. Highly recommend for those with oily skin are are experiencing mild to moderate breakouts. Also, I wish Eskinol would explore Azelaic Acid more in their skin care because this is a really good acid!
