THE VERDICT:

A year or two ago, Natasha Denona's brand went viral online and the beauty community went cray over her superb eyeshadow palettes. It's like overnight, Natasha Denona's makeup brand was catapulted to stardom and it's considered in the beauty community as one of the best luxury eyeshadow palettes around.

Thing is, if something is hyped so much, I tend to be on the fence about it; and this is why I never bought any ND eyeshadow palette when everyone started hyping it. I just know too much about marketing. XD

But indeed, there are products that are actually THAT good--and this is one of them.

I recently received an ND palette called Mini Metropolis. Sometimes, I wish I did not receive this palette because it has made me realize why everyone who has tried ended up loving Natasha Denona's eyeshadow palettes and now I want a bigger one!

But who is Natasha Denona anyway? She is an internationally- acclaimed makeup artist known for her life's work. Natasha Denona has started her namesake brand and the eyeshadow palettes are her star products.

Mini Metropolis Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition product and was part of the 2021 holiday collection; this palette features shades from the bigger, 28-pan Metropolis Eyeshadow palette.

What makes Natasha Denona's eyeshadow palette so special? One, she uses a high quantity of pure pigments for intense and accurate color coverage and the eyeshadows are manufacture in Italy, which is known for luxury makeup manufacturing. Natasha Denona's products are cruelty- free and Paraben- free.

I also like the way she curates the colors: it's edgy, but at the same time, newbie- friendly because it's easy somehow to visualize the looks that you can create with the palette.

This 5- piece palette features the following shades:

Blaze (metallic gold/bronze)
Rope (matte, dusty peach)
Jubilee (metallic dark emerald green)
Bole (matte, medium brown)
Corrode (matte, cameo beige)

The eyeshadows are very smooth and silky. Natasha Denona is well- known for her metallic eyeshadows; a lot of reviews would rave about the metallics and after trying it myself, I agree that these are one of the best metallic formulas there is: silky, very little fallout, super pigmented, sits on the skin upon application, giving that "metal is my second skin" vibe, and no need to wet the pans since it already has that liquid look and finish; the metallic eyeshadow formula is made of crushed pearls, which gives that superb finish and shine; Natasha Denona really knows her metallics! As for the mattes, they're good, but Viseart is superior when it comes to matte eyeshadows.

Another favorite feature of mine from her eyeshadows? The metallic eyeshadow pigments don't get in my eyes!

Here's me wearing Blaze and Bole on my lids. Felt like going for a fresh makeup look with the product.

The eyeshadows have a mild, staining effect, which is very ideal for those with oily lids because staining helps the product last longer-just use a good eyeshadow primer underneath and you're good to go. The eyeshadows stay vibrant the whole day and come off easily with makeup remover without leaving a stubborn stain on the skin.

Natasha Denona's eyeshadow palettes are indeed as good as everyone says. But is it worth it? If you're a makeup artist and would like to invest in a really good eyeshadow palette, I recommend this brand because it offers a good range of neutrals on top of having superb quality. If you're an everyday makeup girl, buying the bigger palettes can be a bit too much so I would recommend that you go for the 5-pan palettes: it's cheaper, the range is enough for you to switch up your looks, plus it's very handy too.

And if you love metallic eyeshadows like me, then go for this brand!

Have you tried Natasha Denona's eyeshadows already? What are your thoughts?
