Retinol is the darling in Tiktok recently because users have been experiencing tremendous success and impressive skin transformations, especially those with acne problems.

But there are just as many unhappy users as the happy ones.

Because Retinol, if not used with caution and proper guidance, can do the skin more harm than good; but of course, not everyone can pin down usage the first time so it begs the question: is there a gentler alternative to help start a Retinol journey without actually using Retinol at first?

Fortunately, there is. Say hello to BAKUCHIOL.

Bakuchiol is an ancient medicinal plant used in Chinese medicines and Ayurvedic practices; it is derived from the Babchi plant and is prizes for its anti-inflammatory and anti- bacterial properties.

Bakuchiol is dubbed as an alternative to Retinol. Skin care studies have demonstrated that Bakuchiol's effects are similar to that of Vitamin A, except that the former is much gentler and posed lesser risks of irritation.

How Bakuchiol works is it triggers cells to manufacture different types of collagen, which is ultimately helpful in assisting the skin age gracefully.

BAKUCHIOL BENEFITS

Some of the benefits of Bakuchiol are:

- anti- inflammatory
- anti- aging
