Bath and Body Works Gingham Body Mist and Body Wash: one of my favorite gourmand scents morena filipina perfume blog
THE VERDICT:

Though I'm not a hater, I'm not the biggest fan of gourmand fragrances; there's something in it that makes me feel light- headed. I can wear gourmand fragrances, but only a select few; so far, these are Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 62 and Lolita Lempicka EDP.

That said, if I find one that suits my nose and doesn't make me feel light- headed, trust me, it's good.

Another gourmand fragrance joins my list and it's one of Bath and Body Works' most celebrated colognes, Gingham. FYI, it's also Heart Evangelista's favorite Bath and Body Works' cologne!

If you're wondering if this is any good or what this smells like, then read on!

Ginger, according to Bath and Body Works, is a sweet floral fragrance with notes of Blue Freesia, Clementine, and Soft Violet Petals. There seems to be no sweet/gourmand note in it, but it has a significantly sweet note that permeates the entire perfume formula that I can categorize this as a gourmand fragrance. The sweet note is like creamy blueberries to me. Smells so good plus I love blueberries too!

The fragrance reminds me indeed of a pretty Gingham dress in a beautiful periwinkle blue shade; I love how Bath and Body Works was able to create a memory out of this fragrance; memory- based perfumes are my jam, ya know?

Sillage is strong and it leaves a 45% trail after 2-3 hours. It's pretty long-lasting for me considering that it's only a body mist and I don't expect great staying power from mists.

The body wash has a beautiful Gingham fragrance and I love that it the scent lingers on my skin; it frankly helps the mist last longer. It's also my first time to try Bath and Body Works' body wash and I'm pleased with it: it yields a frothy foam, but doesn't over dry the skin plus a small amount goes a long way.

It's not my first time to encounter Gingham, but I've learned to appreciate it just now and I'm glad I decided to take a whiff of it when I was in SG because if not, I wouldn't have found a new gourmand fragrance that I'll love!

Have you tried Gingham already? What do you think about it?

  1. Looking for a review nito via Youtube pero naghanap ako dito baka merong review since I knew how much you love scents 🥰 will buy a decant sa shopee/lazada before buying the fullsized. (since pricey pa sya 600plus for a body mist)
