Content Creator hauls!

It's been a while since I shared some of my hauls in this blog! I kinda' miss it though. I remember the time when I would haul often just so I have stuff to share on the blog and I equally loved sharing my hauls in blog posts as well. Those were the days! But I still do hauls; it's just that I share them mostly on my Instagram and Tiktok (do follow me on those platforms!).

I recently got these content creator essentials since I've been doing more videos nowadays. Let's unbox my new vlogging camera and portable mic!

I so wanted the Rode portable Mic set, but I just find the price too steep plus I wanted to test first if a wireless microphone is something that will work for me so I decided to look for a cheaper alternative. I went with Boya because I saw on Tiktok that some creators are using it. Boya is a good, affordable gadget brand so I decided to pick up Boya Ultracompact 2.4ghz Wireless Microphone. It's only P1,400+ vs. Rode's P12,000+ price tag.

I got this from Lazada and there are versions for android and ios, one mic and 2 mics. I got the most basic and cheapest one for ios. And you know what? It's pretty good! Love the way my voice sounds when using this mic, easy setup, and the transmitter and microphone pair in seconds. Battery life is 9 hours for the mic and transmitter so that's more than enough time for me to do my videos with the mic.

I purchased a dead cat windscreen attachment from Andoer, another good, affordable gadget brand on Lazada, for the Boya compact mic; this is better for outdoor vlogging because it can filter noise better.

And finally, a new vlogging camera! This is DJI pocket 2 creator bundle, the newest portable vlogging cam by DJI. This is an early birthday present from my husband; I told him that if our Japan visa application is approved, I would like to receive a new camera for my birthday that I can use on our trip. We're going so yay to a new camera! :D

I was contemplating between a new mirrorless camera or a portable vlogging camera. I went for the latter because even phone quality videos are acceptable on social media nowadays so I figured, there's probably no need for a fancy schmancy camera right now. I also want a portable and discreet camera that I can alternate with my phone when vlogging since I really feel awkward when I pull up my digital camera and start vlogging on the streets lol. DJI Pocket 2 fits the bill.

Aside from portability, DJI Pocket 2 can shoot up to 4K so I can shoot quality vids too! Portability + high quality vids for me; I love that I get the best of both worlds with this camera!

I also picked up a high memory micro sd card for DJI Pocket 2. Gosh, sd cards are so expensive nowadays!
