THE VERDICT:

Pheromones are naturally- occurring aphrodisiacs; it's what makes you attracted to a certain person and makes you 'attractive' as a person, but thanks to technology, pheromones can be recreated through science and we don't have to rely on body secretions and harm animals just to source pheromones.

Generally speaking, the use of pheromones isn't exclusive to things related to sensuality and intimacy anymore because nowadays, it's being utilized to make individuals appear 'pleasant' and 'likeable', which can help some achieve certain goals. Perfumes are one of the products that utilize pheromones. I haven't gone into deep research about the efficacy of pheromones delivered through perfumes so I'm not in the position to talk about that, but what I can tell you is there are some studies that you can check out.

It's my first time to encounter a local perfume brand that contains pheromones and it's the Tiktok- famous local fragrance brand, Perfume Dessert London. I have a bunch of their perfumes, body mists, and room and linen sprays and I'll tell you which ones are my favorites.

Perfume Dessert is a local fragrance brand that was established in 2018. They specialize in gourmand fragrances and according to the brand, they make use of pheromones in their perfumes. They have body mists and room and linen sprays as well. All fragrances are blended in London and uses between 20-30% fragrance oil in the EDPs.

Their EDT range is HUGE. The star collection is the gourmand collection, which is what made the brand famous on Tiktok because it appealed so much to the youth.

Here are the EDT scents I have:

Cotton Candy Unicorn- my favorite! Sweet, sugary scent with floral notes.

Marshmallow- Soft floral with hints of sweetness.

Cake Pops- gourmand vanilla with a buttery note.

Red Velvet- red florals with vanilla.

Sakura- cherry blossom scent with a sweet note.

Cucumber Melon- lime, cucumber, melon notes with green notes.

Gumdrops- candy- like scent.

Watermelon Slushie- watermelon with notes of lime and citrus.

Cookie Dough- vanilla, cookie gourmand scent.

Black Raspberry Vanilla Ice Cream- milky, berry scent with tangy notes.

Raspberry Smoothie- Raspberry with vanilla notes.

Strawberry Shortcake- Strawberry with vanilla notes.

The gourmand fragrances aren't cloying and sillage is mild. As a strong sillage lover, I wish it were stronger. Staying power is between 3-4 hours and it can last longer if sprayed on clothing. The scent that has the longest staying power on me would be Marshmallow, Cotton Candy Unicorn, and Cake Pops at 4 hours staying power, respectively.

They have body mists for women and teens. Cloudy and Summer are great for teens while Iris and Violet are part of a bigger floral body mist collection.

Cloudy- notes: bitter almond, saffron, egyptian jasmine, cedar. Warm, floral with a hint of spice.

Summer- notes: melon, lemon, orange, ginger, musk, woody notes. Fresh, fruity floral.

Iris- notes: black currant, pear, iris, jasmine, orange blossom, praline, vanilla, patchouli, and tonka bean. Sweet, powdery floral scent.

Violet- Lavender, aldehydes, bergamot, violet, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley, rose, oakmoss, sandalwood, vetiver, amber, vanilla. Warm, powdery scent with a hint of wood.

Staying power for the mists is between 2-3 hours and may last longer if sprayed on clothing. The scents are pleasant all throughout, no sharp odor whatsoever on the initial spray. These are great at-home scents that you can pick up and spritz on at any time of the day to uplift your mood.

Meanwhile, the room and linen sprays are a surprisingly good find.

Coconut Macarons- light, nutty vanilla scent

Bamboo Leaf and Florals- fresh bamboo with lily scent

Meringue Kiss- tangy vanilla scent

Lemon Soda- Fizzy lemon with green notes
Afternoon Tea and Ginger- lemon, ginger scent

The room fragrances smell good, not cloying, and helps get rid of odors in just a few minutes, especially Bamboo Leaf and Florals. Meringue Kiss is very appetizing and it's the perfect room freshener for kids because it's fun and frankly, the fragrance just gives me the image of a kids' room. :)

Perfume Desserts is a good, affordable fragrance range and I love that there are options for teens, adults, and for the home plus there's just so many options. It's a good premium perfume brand for beauties on a budget, especially those who love gourmand scents.
