THE VERDICT:
If you're a fan of Jo Malone or you're new to it and looking for recommendations, you'll probably get the usual: Peony Blush and Suede, Wild Bluebell, Nectarine Blossom and Honey, and English Pear and Freesia, and Wood Sage and Sea Salt.
But some Jo Malone stans are gatekeeping this fragrance that they swear by and dub as one of the most underrated but best JM fragrances ever and I agree. It smells gentle and beautiful, and exudes a fragrant balance of light and warmth. This perfume makes a great wedding fragrance too according to some accounts and I couldn't agree more!

Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom is a dominantly yellow floral fragrance with hints of spice and powder. Top notes have Cardamom, Middle Noted have Mimosa, and base is Tonka Bean. The nose behind this fragrance is perfumer Marie Salamagne. Just like a lot of Jo Malone's perfumes, it's only comprised of a few notes as Jo Malone's signature is that straightforward, clean scent.
The fragrance begins with a slightly powdery note mixed with Cardamom. Cardamom is very prominent and I think it's actually the one that's lending that powdery aroma. After a few seconds, the heart note of Mimosa enters the accord and tones down Cardamom, and the fragrance develops into a fresh, summery scent; it's warm and soft, like a ray of sunshine. After a couple of minutes, Tonka Bean enters the picture, giving the entire fragrance a slightly sweet ending.
Mimosa and Cardamom is a pleasant summer fragrance; it's one of the summer fragrances that I can confidently say that's perfect for day and night because of how it perfectly balances light floral notes and the spiciness of Cardamom. I've always liked the aroma of Cardamom especially in food and I'm glad to know that this perfume has made it wearable. I can see why some women would say that this is a great wedding perfume because there's something so heartwarming about the entire characteristic of this fragrance. Staying power is great, average throw and sillage, and doesn't really leave a trail; it's more of an intimate fragrance.
I can imagine that this would be the go- to summer fragrance of career women on hot days because it's light, but has that earthy appeal that exudes grace, class, and confidence. If you want this vibe or if you're this type of woman, then you should check out Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom!
