THE VERDICT:

If you’re any of the two (or you’re both), then you’re definitely reading the right blog post:

1. You are one of the unique ones who love the coco-nutty scent of classic sunscreens of your youth and think they will actually make the perfect beach fragrance though you wish they’re softer and has less of that sunscreen vibe.
2. You’re looking for the perfect perfume to wear to a beach trip.

Meet Maison Margiela Beach Walk, which is perhaps the most underrated Replica perfume; it’s always overshadowed by Lazy Sunday Morning, Bubble Bath, Jazz Club, By The Fireplace, Whispers in The Library or the Tiktok- famous Replica fragrances, but there’s something about Beach Walk that is captivating and I think it is because it represents so much fun and nostalgia, and that exciting moment when you’re bound for the beach!

Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk EDT is created by perfumers Jacques Cavallier and Marie Salamagne. Beach Walk is categorized as a floral fruity gourmand fragrance. Top notes have Bergamot, Pink Pepper, and Lemon, Heart notes have Ylang-Ylang, Coconut, and Heliotrope, and Base notes have Musk, Benzoin, and Cedar.

At first spray, I can only detect Bergamot because the blend of Ylang-Ylang and Coconut Milk immediately injects itself in the background. Ylang-Ylang and Coconut are strong in this one and it’s like all throughout the fragrance, they’re trying to command the spotlight. After a few seconds, musk kicks in the background and Benzoin adds a sweet, smoky appeal. The fragrance ends into a musky, ylang-ylang coconut fragrance with a hint of sweetness. Staying power is incredible; this perfume can last the whole day on my skin and it’s one of those rare perfumes that last forever on me. Beach Walk is also one of those rare gourmand perfumes that I like because it’s sweet, but the equally heavy mix of florals balance out the sweetness.

Beach Walk is a fun, tropical fragrance that I imagine would pair well with a bright- colored summer dress, straw hat, and flip flops. Reminds me of family beach trips, sunset parties by the shore, and lazy days by the sea. It reminds me of salty skin, warm sand, and coconut trees. I love how the juice fantastically paints a picture of one of my most favorite spots on earth and every time I put it on, I daydream of my next beach trip and it kinda’ soothes me because it brings to mind my memories of the beach.

However, Beach Walk is not everyone’s cup of tea because some find the scent too strong and intense because of ylang-ylang and coconut milk; so I suggest test out this fragrance in store or buy a decant first to know if it’s for you.

Beautiful, tropical- inspired fragrance, especially for those who love flowery gourmand perfumes.
