THE VERDICT:

If there's one GRWM Cosmetics product that I will highly recommend, it would be the primer.

No, make that their primers. Basically, the entire All About That Base Makeup Prep Squad primer collection.

If you're looking for a local primer brand that isn't too expensive and has options to suit different skin types and primer needs, then you shouldn't miss this!

GRWM Cosmetics Jelly Primer is a hydrating primer with glycerin, squalane, vitamin e, and niacinamide to help hydrate and soothe the skin, while the high presence of Dimethicone in the formula gives it good oil control properties as well.

GRWM Cosmetics Lifeproof Jelly Primer is an alternative to Milk Makeup's famous Gripping Primer, in case you love Milk's super hydrating, and bouncy finish.

L-R: Jelly Primer, Blurmatte, Lifeproof Gripping Primer

Jelly Primer is my most favorite because it suits my aging skin more. It controls oil, but doesn't make it feel too dry and taut, which are the last things my aging skin needs. When your skin ages and starts to lose more moisture and softness, trust me, you will not love wearing primers that make your skin feel drier. Jelly Primer is ideal for all skin types, most especially semi- dry or combination dry/oily skin types.

Blurmatte Primer is also great to wear, most especially during summer when my skin is much oilier than the usual. It has a soft matte finish, which makes it ideal for oily and combination skin types. What I love about it is it is matte but comfortable, controls oil really well, and doesn't feel drying and heavy on the face. It's not as hydrating as Jelly Primer, but compared to my other matte primers, Blurmatte feels a bit more hydrating and overall, comfortable.

Lifeproof Gripping Primer is a bouncy, thick gel with a unique pasty texture. The pasty texture is an alternative to silicones with the goal of making makeup stick. Silicone's texture is very effective in keeping makeup intact, but it can trigger allergies to some individuals, which is why this alternative formula was invented. This primer feels very hydrating, but caution to some as you might find its texture a bit weird and hard to blend-it's meant that way and the best way to apply this primer is to dab it on your skin, as if you're applying essence all over.

After 5 hours of wearing Blurmatte Primer underneath, no retouch

All the primers have really good staying power and I like how my makeup still looks decent even after hours of wear and even without retouching. The primers feel very comfortable, have minimal fragrance, and very economical to use.

The primer with the best staying power is Blurmatte while the most hydrating is Lifeproof Gripping and the best formula for me is Jelly Primer.

Love these primers and I see myself repurchasing everything when I run out!

Have you tried GRWM Cosmetics primers? What do you think? What are your favorites?
