THE VERDICT:

This is Ever Bilena's Tiktok- famous lip balm and apparently, it sold 100,000 units after its initial launch. Interesting! And does this mean that we're entering the era of lip balms now?

I opened two of my Serum Tinted lip balms and here are my thoughts as a girl with severely dry lips.

Ever Bilena Serum Tinted Lip Balm is a soothing, hydrating lip balm with Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E. It comes in 9 shades.

Ingredients

As someone who's using Ever Bilena products for as long as I remember, I would say that their packaging seems a bit more elevated nowadays; for example, the packaging of this lip balm looks more stylish than their usual.

Shade in Naked

Consistency is slightly rich; it feels almost like a lip mask and it's richer compared to the prominent light, semi- glossy, and almost watery formulas that we've had for the longest time. Could this be a sign that we're moving back to the thick, mask- like lip balm formulas of the early 90s (aka Carmex and Chpastick)?

The lip balm glides on very smoothly and evenly, and imparts medium color coverage. Apply two or more swipes to build up the color, but that would mean a bit more weight due to the additional layers of lip balm on top of your lips. Thankfully, it doesn't feel sticky and obscenely heavy; you will just feel that there is a sheet of lip balm on your lips.

Shade in Toast of New York

The shine doesn't last for more than an hour, but still manages to keep lips soft. After an hour, it's like you're wearing a blotted satin lippie from wearing a hydrating, glossy lip balm. Love the plumping effect that it gives too. Thankfully, the color does not migrate to the corners of my lips as the shine fades; and since it's a lip balm, don't expect it to have good staying power; you have to retouch during wear.

Between the two shades, Toast of New York is my fave. Actually, TON is my most favorite lippie shade from Ever Bilena and one of the best muted terracotta rose shades there is!

For folks with severely dry lips like me, it's 50/50: it's a good lipstick alternative for me in times when my lips are acting up, but I still want to wear color. Don't expect it to magically treat your lips because even if I find it moisturizing, the moisture diminishes throughout the day. If your lips are dry, but manageable, I think it will perform better; my lips seem to just suck every single droplet of moisture out of every lip product that I put on it.

Overall, not bad for its price. I think it will suit those with normal to semi- dry lips.
