THE VERDICT:
Even thought lip gloss and lip tints were the biggest lip makeup trends for the past three years, I still held onto my love for lipsticks, whether in bullet or liquid form. For the last three years, there weren't a lot of good ol' lipstick releases because brands were all over trends so when GRWM Cosmetics came out with a lipstick collection, I was overjoyed. Not long after, the lip liner collection followed.
I mean, these are one of the nicest matte lipsticks I've tried. Lip Speak matte lipstick collection and Lip Contour lip liner collection are proof that you need not spend a ton to find good lipstick these days!
GRWM Cosmetics Lip Speak is described as a lightweight, buildable matte lipstick with Shea Butter, Squalane, and Vitamin E to keep lips smooth and for a comfortable finish. Comes in 10 shades.
GRW Cosmetics Lip Contour is a gel lip liner with a soft matte finish. Comes in 12 shades.

Here are the swatches of the lip liner and lipstick. Normally, the lipstick will have a matching lip liner and vice versa, but not with these (with the exception of Summer Eloise). Instead, you can mix and match shades from the respective products and I did just that for everyone. These are the lippie and liner shades that I think will look good if combined together. You're welcome.
Let me describe the shades for you, as they appear for me:
Summer Eloise liner- warm rosy pink
Summer Eloise lipstick- warm rosy pink
For Real- dirty beige
She's a 10- warm brown with a terracotta undertone
Felt Cute- muted coral
On Wednesdays- soft coral with pink
New Classic- ruby red
Femme Fatale- cherry red
Maximo- brown
Main Character- deep red
Ann- mauve beige
Berry Popper- dark berry with a brown undertone
2.15 Coffee- latte brown
Piña Colada- midtone terracotta brown
Lovebug- sand pink with a beige undertone
Soiree- medium brown
Bare- soft mauve
Margarita- rosy brown
Cali- warm pink
Cheesecake Supremacy- medium rose beige
Some might not like the fact that the lippie and liner shades don't match, but I feel neutral about the brand's decision. In fact, if I'm going to think hard about it, I'm actually fine with it. I find buying two completely different products in the exact same shade a waste of money. Just grab a lip brush and use your lipstick to line your lips if you want it to work as a lip liner!
The lipsticks have a buttery, suede feel; they glide on oh-so-smoothly, feel moisturizing, but are virtually weightless. I cannot stress it enough, I like the formula and feel of the lippies.
The gel lip liner glides on smoothly and are quite pigmented; it sets into a soft, lightweight matte finish, although I don't exactly know why it's called 'gel' since gel- based products traditionally came in pots; same thoughts with other brands that call their liners 'gel'.
Here are my shade combos in action:
Cali + Cheesecake Supremacy and 2.15 + Piña Colada are my faves here.
New Classic + Femme Fatale and Maximo + Main Character are my faves from this bunch.
Summer Eloise + Summer Eloise takes the cake.
Staying power is pretty good for both products, with the lip liner having the best staying power. The lipstick stays on and doesn't crack, settle into fine lines, or fade, but would need to be retouched after a meal.
I'm pretty happy with these lippies! Another thing that I love is the pop cap mechanism of the lipstick; it makes the thing so posh and the rose gold bullet gives it a chic design. Thankfully, the lipstick does not launch into outer space when I press the button.
If there's only one downside, it's that I find the shade range too neutral for my liking. Where are the pinks, the corals, the purples? But from a marketing standpoint, I do understand the decision to launch a safe, mass appealing range as a pilot collection. I do hope that in the near future, we'll get more fun colors!
If you're looking for a pick-me-up treat for the week, then consider grabbing GRWM Cosmetics' Lip Speak and Lip Contour products.
