TBJ 16TH MEGA ANNIVERSARY: Our First Create and Elevate Workshop Series!

 

The Beauty Junkee is celebrating its 16th year in the content creation industry this year!

Me and my community may not be the biggest in the online space, but to be able to sustain the group for 16 years is such a feat! And I'm proud to say that The Beauty Junkees Unite is still going strong and still growing. So much love for this community!

After four years of inviting experts to conduct inspiring and educational talks in the realm of beauty, self and image improvement, self- help and confidence, business, and finance, this year, we are changing it up.

I've realized, with the advent of Podcasts, there's a ton of people and companies that are doing talks nowadays so I thought of introducing a new activity this year: WORKSHOPS. Hopefully this is something that we can do down the line!

TBJ 16th Mega Anniversary presents CREATE AND ELEVATE, a community event and workshop series. For the first leg, we are holding a Floral Basket arrangement 101 workshop at Fifty Nine Flower Cafe.

The rationale behind the new theme for the anniversaries? When the year started, my goal was to grow professionally and spiritually; however, I realized that I was starting to fall back into old habits so I adopted the mantra SAYING YES DESPITE UNCERTAINTY, ACKNOWLEDGING MY FEAR BUT SAYING YES ANYWAY. This realization of mine has inspired this year's community event, Create&Elevate; I want the TBJ Beshies to learn and adopt new skills, and grow through new experiences that they probably have never thought of trying. I hope they will enjoy it and I hope it sparks something new in them!

This year's anniversary was such an amazing round too because we were able to donate to two charities:

A portion of the proceeds from the event slots was donated to AHA! Learning Center, a non-profit organization that helps underserved children catch up with after school activities.

A portion of the proceeds from the Team Bahay slots was donated to Angat Buhay to aid their relief efforts for the victims of the recent Cebu earthquake.
