Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Review: My love has gotten even better

Here's a review on Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream.

PRICE: Forgot how much is it in Yuan, but locally, it's around P1,600-P1,800.00
PLACE BOUGHT: China
OTHER LOCATIONS: Kiehl's MOA and Greenbelt 5

•24-hour, light-textured daily hydrator leaves skin comfortable and visibly well-balanced, particularly in harsh weather conditions.

•Unique combination of ingredients helps reduce moisture loss while drawing and absorbing moisture from the air.

•With continuous moisture replenishment throughout the day, skin is smooth and healthy-looking.
Cool Kiehl’s Fact: Through Ultra Facial Cream, Kiehl’s was honored to lend support and protection from the elements to the heroic team of the “Greenland First Ascent” expedition. The six explorers completed the first-ever ascent of Greenland’s ice covered peaks on May 30th 2005.

THE VERDICT:

Last month, I had to say goodbye to one of my most favorite moisturizers, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream.

Actually, it wasn't originally for me. Mom went to China last year for a business trip, and she brought one of her lightweight moisturizers with her. She wished she had researched on China's weather conditions then because when she got there, it was freezing cold. Her skin was drying out pretty badly, and her personal moisturizer wouldn't suffice. That's why she was compelled to buy this when she passed by a Kiehl's store in China.

When she got home, she gave it to me since she uses La Mer and Shiseido, and she knows that I'm the hardcore Kiehl's fan in the household. I asked her how she liked it, and she said it saved her skin from China's cruel weather. But even if she had bad reviews on it, I'll still take it anyway because Kiehl's is so compatible with my skin.

Anyway.

Ultra Facial Cream is a thick, water- based moisturizer. Unlike its older sister, the classic Ultra Facial Moisturizer, this one is oil- free and heavier than UFM. It is unscented, and lightweight despite its thickness, and gets absorbed easily into the skin. It is very spreadable too. Two pea- sized amounts can cover my entire face. But I always go overboard with my application because I am in love with its texture, and it doesn't feel heavy even if I layer it on.

It's best for people with dry skin because it has Glacial Glycoprotein extracts derived from Desert plants. Desert plants are known for their superb water- retaining abilities, that's why their genomes were extracted and used in this UFM variant. The Glacial Glycoprotein extracts provide continuous moisturization all throughout the day. In my experience, it keeps my face from looking dull because it helps replenish my skin's water reserves during wear. I recommend it to people with Oily skin because of its oil- free formulation.

In my 4 months of usage, I have noticed that my skin has become softer and smoother. My skin also looked radiant because it has provided constant water supply to my skin. No breakouts whatsoever during usage.

Of course, I shall buy it again. But I just bought my classic favorite, the Ultra Facial Moisturizer because the weather is cold lately, and it's causing my skin to flake. I need the natural oil extracts in UFM to remedy these dry patches of mine. But since summer is dawning, a lot of gals will still find this water- based Ultra Facial Cream moisturizer handy.

  9. if Kiehl is a thick moizturizer, is this like Nivea's moisturizer as well? I find Nivea so thick that and kinda oily too. Ms. Martha, what moisturizer can u recommend that's light and pasok sa budget? :) ty
