MARIA LORNA SIRADOR (Fair Beauty Loot)

What did you learn from The Beauty Junkee? What else would you like to see in this blog?

First of all, HAPPY 3RD BDAY!
Honestly I just saw this giveaway when a friend of mine was tagged by her friend. And here I am, reading your posts since day 1 and got me hooked up.

The article I loved most: Style Matters More Than Fashion. And I think this summarizes the whole you when it comes to beauty and style. I often look at lookbook.nu to plan what Im going to wear the next day. I keep on looking, see inspirations but then I think some clothes lead to fashion suicide, and are for picture-sake or what not. I read the article and quitely pondered over it. I realized not being carried away with the trend is fine. Up until now, most people think otherwise and Im somewhat being pulled by the. Thanks to your blog I got the nerves to resist (yeah, tis a good thing!). Certainly I will follow your tips (inspiring!).

I admire you for being not the maarteng shopper. You are wise and elegant. Other bloggers are only writing for themselves. Continue your beautiful work!

RUSSEL CLARK QUINTO (Woman on Top Loot)

I learned that being beautiful requires effort, patience, and a little resourcefulness. I was not blessed in being born a woman but I still would like to think that I take good care of myself. I still have a lot to learn and I really appreciate people like you who spends time sharing helpful information on how to be beautiful. I would like to see more beauty regimens which are both affordable and effective. Also maybe you could do a tutorial on how to copy the look of some celebrities (i.e. make-up, hair, etc) and maybe share some critique on the latest trends and whatever will tickle the inner "kikay" in all of us. Thanks, that's all. Happy Anniversary!

JULIE ANN TOLENTINO (Fun and Feminine Loot)

For a budget girl like me, I always root for cheap products that meet my beauty and skincare needs. But while these products are pleasing to my tight budget, sometimes they don't give me enough satisfaction. Worst is that, they give me unbearable skincare problems that prompt me to pay more on expensive treatments. I learned that some of the best makeup or skincare finds might ask for a little more dime. That's one thing I learned from The Beauty Junkee. Paying for more than what your budget allows does not always mean you're off to flaunt how thick your wallet is, but ratrher, it's a more practical way to address your beauty and skin needs. In the end, you'll realize you actually get more than what you pay for. I say this because most of the products that you review in your blog are a bit high-priced, but reading through your inputs make me realize that you are not only paying for the product itself, but for what it can do to your physical body and to your own person, be it a makeup or skincare product. Because of your blog, I became the practical girl rather than the plain ol' budget girl.

Ms. Martha, I think you have mastered your makeup already, so I'd like to hear more of your fashion inputs in your blog.

Beauty might be skin deep, but it won't hurt getting a little help from awesome beauty innovations.

Happy Anniversary! God Bless and More Power! =)

JOANNA DELOS SANTOS CAPATI (Chic and Sassy Loot)
I learned from The Beauty Junkee that a woman of any age and skin color should give importance to health and beauty by enhancing it because this is what makes them happier and more successful in everything they do. That really, really made me appreciate my beauty more as I follow The Beauty Junkee's tips and reviews to use only good skin care products and cosmetics because these really work! :) Definitely I would like to see more reviews on skin care products especially those in "sets" like pimple clearing sets, skin moisturizing sets and wrinkle prevention sets in Neutrogena and other related products.

MARILET WARDE ACLAN (Techie Chic Loot)

I didn't only learn a lot of things from your blog, but it helped me a lot and inspired me in many different ways. Through reading your blog, I was able to get bits of advice from food, shopping, fashion and also from your personal experiences in which you gladly share to your avid readers. With your blogs, we readers, were able to become educated and entertained at the same time. How wonderful is that, when you get the chance to broaden up your knowledge from other people's perspective, and have fun at the same time. Reading your blog was never a dull activity for me to do. I may not be able to (for now) to buy, taste and experience all the things you feature in your blogs. But, through this I am inspired to work harder and persevere more to achieve the things I want in life, whether it may be at work or career, food, clothes, leisure, travel and most of all to simply do the things that will make me happy. Just like what The Beauty Junkee does!

What else would you like to see in this blog?

Blogs that feauture your travels (itinerary.

More stuffs that we can spend our hard earned money whether it be food, clothes, cosmetics, etc.

And of course, more contest and promos!

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

More power!

MARIDETH JAVILLO (Wanderlust Chic Loot)

Hi there Ms. Barbara! Happy 3rd Birthday to The Beauty Junkee and Congratulations on your graduation :) I have been reading TBJ for a while now and I have no plans of stopping anytime soon. I look forward to your every post not only because they are full of helpful tips and reviews of exciting beauty products, but also because of the way you write. You write full on, comprehensive reviews but somehow, they are still very light and fun to read.

Cliche as this may sound, but your blog made me learn to love myself more and to celebrate my femininity by dressing up nicely and making myself look nice and presentable, not necessarily for my boyfriend or for anyone else, but mainly for myself. You inspire me to embrace things that I consider as "flaws" and remind myself that these imperfections set me apart from all the other women. They give me character. I admire you because you are a successful blogger, performer and achiever. You broke most Filipina's misconception of beauty. You proved everyone that you don't need to be porcelain-white to be beautiful.

Reading about your journey to a healthier lifestyle inspired me to do the same. It has been a constant struggle, honestly. But seeing how beautiful and confident you are now always motivates me to try and keep going.

So really, aside from all the awesome fashion ideas and product reviews, I have learned a lot more from you. Things that will last more than the hottest trends would, and I am forever grateful. Please don't think of me as a kiss up. I mean every single word.

I look forward to more fashion posts from you. I remember you started a fashion blog before and I really loved it too. I know, this blog is called The Beauty Junkee so naturally, it is mainly on makeup tutorials and product reviews but I really like your style and I hope to use some of your outfit posts as my inspiration for when I am dressing up, as well.

Thank you so much for this opportunity and may you continue to inspire other girls like me with your words. Happy Birthday again, TBJ and to you, Martha, Congratulations and more power :)

ARIANNE PHOEBE CAHIG (Modern Woman Loot)

I never really cared about any skin care products I just used them anyway until I stumble into The Beauty Junkee's blog. I don't have white skin and my complexion isnt really something to be proud of. I am so envious of other women but I often associate those who have great or the best skin as rich people who can buy the most expensive products and can go to expensive dermatologist. But guess what? It's not about the money afterall. It's about how you take good care of your skin and be confident about your own skin. Thanks to The Beauty Junkee for teaching me that. It really is nice to have someone (a fellow Filipina) to teach us what we can do in time of crises especially skin crises. Thank you very much for that The Beauty Junkee and Happy happy 3rd Year Anniversary.

What else would I want to see in your blogs? Everything in your blog is very informative. The blogs are something an average Pinay can relate to. I enjoyed reading them all. I hope you will continue writing whatever that you enjoyed and loved because it is what makes it YOU.

MARK EVAN LIM (Beautiful Loot)

I've learned that being vain doesn't mean being maarte. It only shows how we love our body and how we take care of it. I am loving myself and take care of it so that I can take care of my family and love them too.

What else would you like to see in this blog?
You're doing great and I just want to say keep it up and just surprise us! Thank you!

VIRGIE SORITA- FLORES (PRO Beauty Loot)

I love going to this site for product reviews, like when I want to buy something but I want to know personal experience and thoughts on it, as well as when I want to know what are the latest products out there. I find those very interesting. I like it when Martha attends beauty and fashion events. I check out her clothes, shoes, bag, hair and make-up. I like how Martha puts everything together. Yes, I'm a fan. Thus, sometimes I get on a Like-ing spree on her FB. :P

I wish and hope she'll put up a shop already and that there is a separate category/tab for video tutorials. That would be so fun!

Lastly, I like this site because its not bashful about loving oneself and embracing femininity - something that not every girl does, though every girl really should.

Keep up the good work Martha! Xoxo

ARIANNE GUARDINO (Beach Babe Loot)

More than makeup reviews and hauls,I was inspired when I read your post regarding beauty empowerment and made me realized we echo the same sentiments when i was younger and unsure of who i was. No matter who we are or what we do, whatever it is God bestowed upon us we should accept it and do everything to bring out the best in us whatever situation we are in. Finding the real meaning of empowered beauty is always skin deep coz in the long run, heavy makeup,sky-high stilettos and a fab outfit can always be replaced but the real beauty lies inside every woman is all that matters. Apart from makeup products and reviews I would definitely want to see travelling tips and save vs splurge posts! that'll help a lot of cheapskate women (like myself!) for sure. More Power!

JOANNA MARIE MALIGAYA (Sun Goddess Loot)

I appreciate the fact that you live by the age-old beauty advice of loving your own skin. You're a huge fan of concealing your flaws and highlighting your assets. You've always embraced your being morena that you never went gaga over whitening products, which seems to be a trend in Filipinos these days. However, what struck me the hardest about your beauty principles is that you're not closing your doors to plastic surgery. Yes, you're all for natural beauty, but you see to it that you know where people are coming from before even judging. After all, plastic surgery is not completely for vanity's sake.

What I expect from you is… Nada. One of the reasons why I've been spending so much time going over your blog posts for quite a stretch of time now is because of the element of surprise I get. You're an old-soul in the truest sense of the word as I just recently found out you were an undergrad all along. (Congrats on your graduation, by the way) And the recent vlogs, those came as a surprise. So yeah, I'm asking you… Surprise me. Time and again.

CRISTIANE ZUBIAGA (Skin Care and Beauty Loot)

What I learned from The Beauty Junkee? No doubt there's a lot of things I've learned, about beauty and about being a woman, and I think that's really what The Beauty Junkee is all about. But to sum it all in a simple phrase, and let me quote, 'stay beautiful.' That's what's instilled in me from being a fan.

What else I would like to see in The Beauty Junkee? I would like to see more on skin care, since I'm more of a skin care babe, tips and tricks on beauty regimens.

Happy 3rd Anniversary and more power!!!

MARIA FE GRACE BARRETO (Personal Giveaway 3)

Just recently, I decided to be a make up fan. Eversince, I wasn’t the type of gal who loves to put on much products on my face since I’m no girly-type at all. I don’t even brush my hair way back in high school! But now that I have found your page through an invitation from a friend who also joined this contest, I thank her for introducing me your wonderful page. One thing I learned from your blogs, posts, tweets and all is that everything starts with oneself. One can never achieve anything without first believing in one’s own capabilities. All the products available in the world can never help anyone without the trust of the person that she is beautiful and that she will become more beautiful because she believes she will be.
I always salute Filipinas like you who confidently share your time and expertise in this field just to help us girls with lesser make up backgrounds to become aware of the do’s and don’ts of beauty in general. Continue inspiring people with your altruism and I wish you more and more years of success. Just continue being who you truly are because everyone loves you for being one.
Congratulations and Happy 3rd Anniversary, Martha!

CRYSTAL MARIE CANETE (Personal Giveaway 2)

I appreciate your blog for taking time to nourish my mind as your reader about the significance of make-ups in a woman's life. I used to fail in putting on make-up in my own merely because I am afraid of its outcome or should I say I lack the confidence and fear of what might people think about it. But reading your blogs, seeing your gorgeous face with your make-up endeavors inspires me to let go of my fear and start taking time to practice and try on being an artist to my own face. I am very much empowered of your sense of confidence and your great knowledge on any beauty essentials, in fact I'm listing all those beauty products you're using and started buying some of them and followed your tips in putting on make-ups. Thank you so much Miss Martha. Words may not be enough of how but let me tell you that you are a true Filipina for me, who takes part in showing to the world that Filipinas are beautiful both in and out, with or without make-ups. Continue inspiring us and more powers to you! =)

FRANCIS FALUCHO (Personal Giveaway 1)

I learned so many things about your blog. One is its not important how many fans or readers you have, but what you do as a blogger that counts. I also learned that a personal thoughts make something universal, and the more personal it is, the more universally it applies.

Your blog is very informative, entertaining and teach us about other things. I want to see more updates about the latest fashion tips, local and foreign celebrity updates and latest trends.

KATHERINE ROSE CORONEL- RIVERA (Everyday Essentials Loot)

First of all, I want to thank you for sharing almost everything that you have in your blog. I've learned a lot from your posts! But I'll just mention some that I just learned from you thru your blog posts. I always thought that you'll spend most of your money for branded and expensive makeups but I'm really wrong. I've learned that you'll spend more than that for food. I also learned how to appreciate animals specially cats because of your stories and photos of them. I really hate cats. I don't know why. But when I saw your love for them (cat and dogs) I said to myself that I will take good care of our pets here in my mother-in-laws' house. And lastly, I've learned a lot from your passion with makeups! From basic tools for beginners like me to your updates on save and splurge skin care products that really works and some basic techniques on applying makeup- all of these are worth reading at night where I share some space on the monitor with my son watching youtube and me reading your latest post.

I envy you Martha, your confidence and self-esteem is really inspiring for a shy and soft spoken lady like me. Before I don't want to take pictures of my flaws but now, I'm slowly gaining confidence to show it from other people. Thank you Martha! More power to your blog and I hope to see more posts on local and high end makeups, makeup tools that can be duped and body image/weight issues so that you can inspire more people. I know you really have self-discipline when it comes to this issue and it shows.

Again, happy anniversary! Cheers :)
