Here’s a review on Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin UV Underbase Youthful

THE VERDICT:
Happy Monday everybody! Pretty humid day, isn’t it? I’m
wearing Shu Uemura’s latest UV underbase today, and it’s called Tsuya UV
Underbase. It’s part of the all- new Tsuya Skin Care series.
Packaging is basically the same as the regular UV
Underbases, but this one has a pearlized can. Shu Uemura explained that the
delicate pearl sheen symbolizes the Tsuya promise: radiant, flawless, and
youthful skin.
It only comes in one color, Peach.

I find that this product is a tad bit different than Shu
Uemura’s regular underbases: Its consistency is thicker, and texture is more
moisturizing. Regarding the scent, this one has a more perfume- like fragrance
as compared to the staple light floral scent of the regular UV Underbases.
Tsuya UV Underbase’s scent is never overpowering and stays light all
throughout. It’s a good thing because it helps mask the sharp smell emanating
from sebum.
Peach is a very pale peach color with micro glitters that
are almost invisible to the naked eye. It evens out skin tone, and the glimmers
yield a natural, glowing sheen that peeks through your makeup. Finish is
semi-matte with a hint of glow. You can also use this to dilute dark foundation
shades: Just apply two or three layers prior to your foundation.
I find that in spite
of its slightly thick consistency, drying time is pretty quick-- almost as
quick as the regular underbases.
Performance- wise, it’s almost like the regular underbases but the difference
is, it is infused with anti-aging extracts. Not only does it make your makeup
last all day, but it also regenerates your skin by turning on its ‘Youth Power
Switch’ during wear. I recommend it to girls with dry skin because the
moisturizing consistency will help quench flaky areas, and at the same time to girls
and women who fancy skin care- based makeup.

If only Shu Uemura prods weren't so expensive huhu - although they are worth the investment! But I'll be "brokeback mountain" for a while if I do that :P

Hi! I'm currently in college with combination skin and I'm interested in trying Shu Uemura products. Would you recommend this or is it better that I stick to the other Shu Uemura UV Bases? :) Also, been reading your blog for a while now! :)

ReplyDeleteIf you want something with better benefits, go for this. It won't make your face extra oily because its creaminess is due to its higher water/gel content, not oil or cream. :) I have oily skin and it doesn't aggravate my oilies. :)
